Australia, prepare yourselves to Trip the Darkness and embrace the heavy intensity of Italian gothic metal titans LACUNA COIL who today announce their highly-anticipated return to Australia in 2026, with the Sleepless Empire Australian Tour next February also marking the band’s first down under headline tour in a decade.
Commencing on Thursday 12 February in Brisbane, LACUNA COIL will weave their way through Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide, before closing out on Thursday 19 February in Perth.
Armed with a formidable reputation for their shape-shifting take on gothic hues, melodic sorcery and seething ferocity, LACUNA COIL are that rare breed of band who can capture the zeitgeist while balancing gripping authenticity, and their ambitious live show finds them bigger and bolder than ever before.
With over two million album sales worldwide alongside enthralling a dedicated legion of global fans for decades, LACUNA COIL most recently unveiled a brand new album, releasing Sleepless Empire earlier this year. Channeling more experimental territory, Sleepless Empire was praised by KERRANG! upon release, noting “…these are Lacuna songs through and through…and its lingering notes of darkness just make you want to play the whole thing again”, with the album also gifting brand new fan-favourites like Never Dawn, I Wish You Were Dead and Hosting the Shadow featuring Lamb of God’s Randy Blythe.
A force to be reckoned with both off and on stage, whether roaring out into a festival crowd or captivating in a headline capacity, LACUNA COIL have previously shared stages with the likes of Gojira, Machine Head and In Flames. And few will forget the group’s most recent Australian visit, with LACUNA COIL dubbed “one of the sets of the day” by Music Feeds for their Good Things Festival appearances in 2022, with their show-stopping performances also heavily praised supporting Gojira’s Australian headline shows alongside the festival.
