Laneway Festival’s 2026 lineup is coming in hot, landing in less than 48 hours!
This summer, the beloved tastemaker festival celebrates its 21st birthday with a refreshed route across six cities in Australia and New Zealand — including a brand-new Queensland home on the Gold Coast and new venues in Adelaide and Perth.
After almost a decade of unforgettable shows in Brisbane, Laneway Festival is heading south for the very first time. With the Brisbane site preparing for development ahead of the 2032 Olympics, the timing is right to take Laneway to a new home.
In 2026, Laneway Festival will make its Gold Coast debut at Southport Sharks — a fresh backdrop and the perfect chance to connect with fans in a region that’s always shown enormous love for live music. The new site offers a unique setting with an easy-to-navigate layout, seamless movement between stages, and excellent transport connections. Intimate yet expansive, it’s set to deliver a world-class festival experience in 2026.In Adelaide, Laneway Festival will relocate to the Adelaide Showgrounds, bringing improved infrastructure and facilities at the multi-purpose outdoor venue. Laneway Festival will also move to Arena Joondalup in Perth, providing more space, improved production capabilities, and a refreshed setting for audiences to enjoy the 2026 chapter of Laneway.
Laneway Sydney will return to the green and glorious Centennial Park, while Melbourne is back at its home at Flemington Park in 2026.
Laneway Festival co-founders Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio say, “It’s incredible to be celebrating 21 years of Laneway. What began as a little street party in a Melbourne laneway has grown into a summer ritual across Australia and New Zealand. Every year we’re blown away by the response from the artists, fans, and community that make Laneway so special — 2026 is about honouring that history while looking to the future.”
The lineup — featuring some of the most exciting artists from around the world — will be revealed on Thursday 18 September from 8.10am AEST.

About LANEWAY FESTIVAL
Laneway Festival began in 2004 at St. Jerome’s Bar — a tiny, ex-Swedish meatball shop turned speakeasy hidden down Melbourne’s Caledonian Lane. Opened by Jerome Borazio as a hangout for friends, the bar quickly became a hub for like-minded music lovers. When friend and music booker Danny Rogers returned from New York, the pair decided to put on Sunday gigs in the bar’s back yard.
By February 2005, the Summer Series had spilled into the laneway itself. Posters were printed, restaurants sold food out their back doors, and a makeshift stage was thrown up at one end of the alley. The sold-out street party had no production manager, few rules, and an entire community behind it. A festival was born.
Twenty-one years later, Laneway Festival is one of the most loved and respected live music events across Australia and New Zealand — a tastemaker festival renowned for discovery, community, and championing the most exciting artists from around the world.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
