Here we go again — Laneway Festival 2026 has officially landed! Australia and New Zealand’s beloved tastemaker festival turns 21 this summer — and we’re celebrating with a lineup packed with dream debuts, long-awaited returns, and Laneway-only exclusives.
Topping the wish list for years, Chappell Roan is finally making her Laneway Festival debut. The Midwestern-born, global pop star is bringing her iconic gothic fairytale production down under for a full 90-minute spectacle. Laneway 2026 marks Chappell Roan’s first-ever national tour of Australia – this is going to be the live music moment of the summer!
Mercury Prize-winning Wolf Alice return to Laneway Festival for an exclusive performance, ready to remind us why they’re one of the most exciting live bands of their generation. They’re joined by a run of unmissable Laneway-only exclusives — the heartfelt, wry anthems of Role Model; the genre-bending, internet-pop brilliance of PinkPantheress; and the tongue-in-cheek indie chaos of Wet Leg.
Yung Lean & Bladee are uniting for a rare collaborative performance, bringing their cult Swedish rap universe to the stage – only at Laneway Festival.
The lineup also features the sharp-eyed storytelling of Lucy Dacus, Indie cult hero Alex G, Kiwi superstar BENEE, bedroom-pop genius Cavetown, LA folk-psych favourites Mt. Joy and New York’s unapologetic dancefloor starter, The Dare.
Rising voices Malcolm Todd, Oklou, Jensen McRae, Geese, Wisp, and Gigi Perez continue Laneway Festival’s tradition of introducing the future, first. Holding it down for home soil are Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Blusher, Shady Nasty, Armlock, The Belair Lip Bombs, and Djanaba who will bring their unique energy to the Laneway stage.
With 35% more artists, a brand new East Coast stage, and a third of the lineup making their Australian debut, Laneway Festival 2026 is on another level.
The Laneway Festival pre-sale, presented by Afterpay, opens Tuesday 23 September with staggered release times across each city. General on-sale follows on Wednesday 24 September from 10am AEST.
Sign up for pre-sale here and head to lanewayfestival.com for all ticketing release info. Good luck, babe!

Laneway Festival began in 2004 at St. Jerome’s Bar — a tiny, ex-Swedish meatball shop turned speakeasy hidden down Melbourne’s Caledonian Lane. Opened by Jerome Borazio as a hangout for friends, the bar quickly became a hub for like-minded music lovers. When friend and music booker Danny Rogers returned from New York, the pair decided to put on Sunday gigs in the bar’s back yard.
By February 2005, the Summer Series had spilled into the laneway itself. Posters were printed, restaurants sold food out their back doors, and a makeshift stage was thrown up at one end of the alley. The sold-out street party had no production manager, few rules, and an entire community behind it. A festival was born.
Twenty-one years later, Laneway Festival is one of the most loved and respected live music events across Australia and New Zealand — a tastemaker festival renowned for discovery, community, and championing the most exciting artists from around the world.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
