Colombian trailblazers Bomba Estéreo have released the new single “La Samaria” with the iconic artist Carlos Vives // listen here + watch here //!
“La Samaria” was produced by Carlos Vives, Bomba Estéreo’s José Castillo, Andrés Leal and Casta. The song was mixed and mastered by Lewis Pickett (C. Tangana, CA7RIEL & Paco Amoroso).
The song “La Samaria” celebrates Santa Marta, the mutual hometown of Bomba Estéreo’s Li Saumet and Carlos Vives. This year is the 500th anniversary of Santa Marta, the oldest city in Colombia and a mystical place at the foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range. The “La Samaria” music video, directed by Cristian Saumeth, shares the vibrant energy of the Caribbean coastal city.

“This song means a lot to me because it’s a song from my homeland—where I grew up, where I was born and raised, and where I became the person I am,” Li Saumet shares. “It’s where I learned to connect with the Sierra, with the people, with the cultures of my land. It’s a sacred place, so it’s important for me to be able to offer that energy in a song. I invited Carlos to join me on the song because he is that Samarian figure in music, and I felt that if I was going to collaborate with someone, it had to be him. He has that same love for the land and that same connection with the Sierra.”
“Sharing this song that celebrates the Samarian spirit with Bomba Estéreo fills me with joy,” Carlos Vives says. “It is a song of unity, pride, and a sense of belonging to Santa Marta, reflecting the nostalgia that Li and I feel every time we return to our home.”
“La Samaria” is Bomba Estereo’s first release since their ASTROPICAL supergroup, with Rawayana, dropped their critically acclaimed album in March and toured extensively across the Americas. The supergroup ASTROPICAL is rooted in tropical rhythms, astrology, and cosmic joy. The Guardian raved, “ASTROPICAL is the Latin supergroup healing our broken brains,” spotlighting its joyful, restorative energy in an era of global disconnection.

Bomba Estéreo have been a defining force in global alternative music since their breakout hit “Fuego” in 2009. With critically acclaimed releases like the Latin GRAMMY-nominated ‘Elegancia Tropical’ (2013) and GRAMMY-nominated ‘Amanecer’ (2015), the band cemented their place at the forefront of genre-bending Latin fusion. ‘Amanecer’ birthed global anthems like “Soy Yo” and “To My Love,” amassing hundreds of millions of streams and resonating with audiences worldwide.
Renowned for their electrifying live shows, Bomba Estéreo have performed over 1,000 concerts; from major festival stages like Coachella and Lollapalooza to sold-out venues across continents, from New York to London and Tokyo. Their 2021 album ‘Deja’ was named the #1 “Best Album of the Year” by The New York Times and earned multiple GRAMMY nominations.
Over the years, the group has collaborated with an eclectic mix of artists including Manu Chao, Nelly Furtado, and most impactfully, Bad Bunny. Their Bad Bunny collaboration “Ojitos Lindos” became a cultural phenomenon — topping charts with over 3 billion streams.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
