Returning their offering for the fourth year running, Eora/Sydney-based photography and videography studio Good Loco and Good Intent are celebrating Australian Music Month with another helping hand to the music community, providing complimentary dry hire of their studio to independent artists across weekdays this November.
After the success of many chats with indie-acts last year, the senior management team (Rob Carroll, Nick Moran and Rick Bridgman) continue with artist career consultations post-shoot, to help further develop their craft and set them up for the year ahead.
Rick Bridgman describes the motivation behind their Aus Music Month plans: “All we want is to see Australian acts and their music at the top, and we hope that with this small offering of our space, time and knowledge, that it will help independent artists along on that journey.”
To claim the complimentary booking and consultation offer, artists simply need to head over to Good Loco’s ‘Aus Music Month’ page to register their interest here (T&C’s apply), input booking date and info and the team will come back with available sessions and times. Artists are encouraged to bring their own camera operator(s) or alternatively, the team at Good Loco can connect them with one of the photographers / videographers for hire from their network.
With one of the largest cycloramas in the Inner West, Good Loco’s Bulanaming/Marrickville studio is fully equipped with a diverse range of lighting gear, make-up and dressing room, vocal booth, props on standby, bathroom, kitchen, green room with recreational facilities and a bar.
Good Loco is the subsidiary company to Music Services Company, Good Intent, which offers a range of services across PR & Digital Marketing, boast a management roster of Bootleg Rascal, Close Counters, FANGZ, Fool Nelson, handling venue bookings for The Lansdowne Hotel, Kelly’s On King / Bootleggers and The Troc.
Good Loco and Good Intent continued their Greater Good Initiative in it’s fifth year, a program that gives over $30,000 AUD back to one lucky act from the independent artist community, with previous winners including ixaras (2024), LAZY GHOST (2023), PENI PARKER (2022) and Jelly Oshen (2021), and the 2025 winner currently being reviewed. They also sponsor local junior Rugby League team Alexandria Rovers, and hold ongoing fundraising efforts for Support Act, of which the company has raised thousands of dollars to date.
Current PR clients include Akon, Aloe Blacc, BMG, Bryan Ferry, Chromeo, COTERIE, Crowded House, Destroy All Lines, Everything Everything, Future Static, Klangkarussell, La Roux, Pacific Avenue, RedHook, SOFT PLAY and The Terrys. My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
