Australia’s newest country music festival, Strummingbird presented by Kicks Entertainment has sold out its Sunshine Coast debut and is sitting on the brink of a national sell-out across all three cities in its inaugural year.
Cementing Queensland’s growing reputation as a destination for world-class live music, Strummingbird’s opening event at Sunshine Coast’s Kawana Sports Precinct on Saturday 25 October will see tens of thousands of country fans descend for an unforgettable day of music and country spirit.
The festival brings together some of the biggest names in country and Americana to Australia for the first time including Jelly Roll, Shaboozey and Treaty Oak Revival, alongside homegrown stars such as James Johnston, Kaylee Bell and Wade Forster. With line dancing, rodeo energy, honky tonk vibes and boot-scootin’ singalongs, Strummingbird promises to be an unmissable celebration of modern country culture.
The sold-out success of Strummingbird in its first year is set to deliver significant benefits to the local economy, encouraging visitors to extend their stay across the weekend and driving activity across accommodation, hospitality, retail and transport sectors. Visitors are expected to travel from across Queensland, interstate and internationally to experience the first show of the run.
Launched by the team behind the nationally beloved Spilt Milk, Strummingbird has quickly established itself as a must-attend on the Australian festival calendar.
