AS IT ECHOED
OFF THE STOOP

Jimmy Nice & The Know releases their album ‘As It Echoed Off The Stoop’; a bold, cinematic statement that marks a creative rebirth for one of Australian hip-hop’s most respected voices. The twelve-song project marks the first album released by One Day Recordings, the Sydney collective’s new label partnership with EMI Music Australia.
Nearly twenty years after co-founding One Day, Jimmy Nice returns home — not to relive the past, but to reimagine it. After 15 years as one half of ARIA-nominated duo Spit Syndicate, Jimmy Nice steps forward with a project that fuses storytelling, vulnerability and sharp lyricism with the soulful grit of live instrumentation.
The album’s beating heart comes courtesy of The Know, an all-star cast of Sydney musicians and producers assembled by Jimmy to create a new project and shape its sound, including: LEN20, Ethan Parodi, 18YOMAN, Jono Graham, William K. Ward and more.
‘As It Echoed Off The Stoop’ finds Jimmy confronting fatherhood, spirituality and selfhood with unflinching honesty, weaving poetic meditations on grief, masculinity, legacy, and rebirth.
“The stoop became a symbol for where I come from — a place where pain and purpose meet,” Jimmy says. “The echoes are everything that shaped me — the good, the bad, and what’s left unsaid.”

The ‘As It Echoed Off The Stoop’ campaign has been a steady, thoughtful build; unfolding through the singles ‘P(s)alms’, ‘Wanna Be’, ‘Another Thing’, and ‘Threat’, a leading contender for Australian rap song of the year. Along the way, Jimmy has delivered a jaw-dropping TakeFlight Sky Sessions freestyle, two sold-out shows at the Trocadero Room and a recent performance at SXSW Sydney.
Visually, the project has taken a life of its own. In close collaboration with Max Dona (JAM Group), Jimmy has created a striking visual world to accompany the album; from music videos filmed on 16mm in Japan, to an entire train carriage painted with his lyrics in Italy.
Along the way, Jimmy has given fans an insight into his creative process; sharing visual treatments, vision boards and references, including an artist talk event which premiered the music video for ‘Threat’. This sense of openness and community has carried through to Jimmy’s WhatsApp Channel ‘The Know’ where he’s built a loyal community of fans, sharing early music, BTS content and long-form voice memos about his process and perspective.
The focus single, ‘The Cure’ featuring Siala and produced by Amarah, embodies the album’s emotional core — a soulful, grounded track about resilience, healing, and self-belief.
‘As It Echoed Off The Stoop’ is out now via One Day Recordings, with national tour dates to follow in early 2026.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
