Fresh from his recent Mercury Prize win and a massive year that’s seen him sell out stadiums across the UK, Sam Fender announces major news for his highly anticipated Australian tour.

Following overwhelming demand after selling out in record time, Sydney and Melbourne fans now have their final chance to secure tickets — final production holds are released and last tickets are on sale now and moving fast.

Alongside previously announced guest Holly Humberstone, a fresh wave of Australian talent has just been revealed; Esha Tewari, Beddy Rays, Sycco and Day We Ran join the tour across select dates, completing a powerhouse lineup for one of the biggest tours of the season.

The Australian dates come hot on the heels of Fender’s prestigious Mercury Prize win for his chart-topping third album People Watching – a record that cemented him as one of Britain’s most vital voices. Upon its February release, People Watching sold over 100,000 copies in its first week in the UK alone, outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined, and becoming the fastest-selling album by a British solo artist since 2022.

Fender’s unstoppable year continues with the announcement of the deluxe edition of People Watching — set for release December 5 via Polydor Records and available to pre-order now. The expanded version features eight additional tracks, including recent release ‘Talk To You (feat. Elton John)’ and chart-topping hit ‘Rein Me In’ (with Olivia Dean).

Discussing the Elton John collab Fender says, “It’s a song about the end of a long relationship – about the regret, the mistakes, and the lessons that come with it. I thought, what I need is a really good pianist… and who better than Elton John?”

Elton John comments, “Sam called to say he’d written a song with a piano riff he thought would sound great with me playing it. I couldn’t resist. It’s incredible to see him grow into a truly world-class artist.”

With his Mercury Prize win still ringing and sold-out stadiums in his wake, Sam Fender is primed to ignite Australian crowds with the same fire, grit, and soul that have made his live performances nothing short of iconic.
