RACHAEL FAHIM has officially reached the #1 position on the Australian Country Airplay Chart with her standout single ‘TOO DAMN HOT’.
After holding strong at #2 for the past two weeks, the Australian Country music sensation now celebrates another major milestone in her career and a major win for Australian Country Artists.
Rachael becomes only the second Australian artist to achieve a #1 this year, and the first Australian female artist to do so in 2025. In a chart landscape often dominated by international artists, her ascent to #1 reflects not only the strength of the music, but her unwavering work ethic behind it.
Rachael Fahim shares, “OMG! Hitting the #1 spot is something every artist dreams of and to be the first Australian female to achieve this in 2025 is a big win for us girls out there chasing our dreams! A huge shoutout to Australian radio for their support, I am humbled that my music is being so well received.”
Nicole Richards, Managing Director of Island Records Australia shares, “‘It’s been a huge year for Australian country music, and we are so proud of this breakthrough achievement for Rachael Fahim, as the first Australian female artist to claim the #1 spot on the country airplay chart this year. We have some incredible talent in this country, and it is vital that we continue to champion their local success.”
The unstoppable climb of ‘Too Damn Hot’ comes after a near miss earlier this year, when her previous single ‘Who You Are’ reached #2 holding its position for two consecutive weeks then narrowly missing the top spot. ‘Too Damn Hot’ becomes Rachael’s sixth #1 Country Radio Single.
Firstly embraced by country radio, ‘Too Damn Hot’ has also found a home at commercial radio, echoing the path of her previous single ‘Who You Are’. This crossover moment puts Rachael in company of Keith Urban, Morgan Evans and one of her favourite artist’s Kasey Chambers with ‘Not Pretty Enough’; a song that inspired Rachael to pursue country music in the first place. ‘Too Damn Hot’ has also been added to a number of playlists including Spotify’s cover of Heaps Country, Apple Music’s All New Country and Everyday Hits and Amazon’s Country Heat, to name only but a few.

Her #1 radio moment caps off an extraordinary year that’s seen Rachael complete a massive 56-date national tour with Pete Murray, open for Missy Higgins at Night At The Barracks, and release standout hit singles in ‘Good Luck’, ‘Who You Are’ and 2024’s ‘Dance Around It’. Adding to the momentum, Rachael Fahim has been announced to support US artist Jordan Davis on his arena run of Australian dates next year.
Rachael’s ability to connect with audiences at a massive pop show as well as hardcore country fans at festivals like CMC Rocks speaks both to her distinctive blend of country music with influences from pop singer-songwriters like Sabrina Carpenter and Olivia Rodrigo, but also to the way that people fall in love with the beautifully transparent songwriting that reminds them of their own triumphs and struggles
Produced by Robby De Sa (Flume, Vera Blue) and Liam Quinn (Rita Ora), ‘Too Damn Hot’ is a sassy pick-yourself-up anthem, a country-pop ‘Good Luck Babe’ that intersects Rachael’s core themes of vulnerability and empowerment that embodies so much of her songwriting.
With a catalogue of hard work and achievements beyond her years, Rachael has consistently been one of the highest streamed Australian female country artists with over 12 million+ overall streams. Winning the prestigious Tamworth Country Music Festival’s Toyota Star Maker Award (following in the footsteps of Keith Urban, Troy Cassar-Daley and countless others) and amassing now six Australian Country Radio #1 singles, a seasoned performer, Rachael played live to over 90k people in 2024, along with performances at SXSW USA and CMC Rocks festivals.
Along with supporting Jordan Davis next year, Rachael Fahim will headline her own Tamworth Country Music Festival show at Moonshiners on January 21st, 2026. Rachael is currently working on her forthcoming debut album, writing, and recording in Los Angeles, Nashville, and Sydney.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
