Frontier Touring is thrilled to announce the return of 15-time GRAMMY® winners Foo Fighters – the stadium rock icons bringing their unrivalled live show down under for one night only this summer – at Launceston’s UTAS Stadium on Saturday 24 January.

Famous for their love of Australia, today’s news marks the band’s first live show in Tasmania since 2015 and their first ever time in Launceston. Foo Fighters were last on our shores in November/December 2023, when they played to sold-out stadiums in Perth, Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane in celebration of their universally acclaimed 11th studio album, But Here We Are.

Marking their 14th visit to Australia with this special show at UTAS Stadium, the band have a history of delivering jaw-dropping surprise performances: in March 2022 Foo Fighters reignited the nation, delivered a blistering, history-making performance in Geelong, VIC:

Foo Fighters have sold over 1.8 million records in Australia, with nine #1 albums to date – the most #1 in any territory for the band. As the world’s premier stadium rock band, they returned to the stage this September, surprising US fans with a run of guerilla club shows featuring new drummer Ilan Rubin (Nine Inch Nails, Paramore). In October they dropped new single ‘Asking For a Friend’, which follows on from the July release ‘Today’s Song’, the first new taste of music from the band in two years. Foo Fighters will perform across the UK and Europe in June 2026, supported by Aussies Royel Otis and Otoboke Beaver, Inhaler, Die Spitz, Idles and Fat Dog, before undertaking a North American summer stadium tour in August/September alongside guests Queens of the Stone Age, Mannequin Pussy, and Gouge Away.

One of the biggest live draws on the worldwide stadium circuit, their iconic hits have soundtracked fans’ lives: ‘The Pretender’, ‘Breakout’, ‘This Is a Call’, ‘My Hero’, ‘All My Life’, ‘Everlong’, ‘The Sky Is A Neighborhood’, ‘Learn To Fly’, ‘Best Of You’, ‘Monkey Wrench’, ‘Times Like These’, ‘Walk’ and more.

Supporting Foo Fighters on the night will be two rising Aussie bands: Brisbane rockers Full Flower Moon Band, and Launceston psych trio Spooky Eyes.
