Just turned 18 and graduated from high school a few weeks ago, Brisbane’s Massy has been making waves on Soundcloud since mid-2023 and earning his stripes on the Australian rap scene, dropping his 14-track debut album ‘Jet 5’ on December 5, which includes five song that have been totally self-produced.
“Jet 5 is my crew, my supporters who back me no matter where I go. Jet 5 is about equality – not about giving in to peer pressure. This track gives you a sneak peek of what’s coming with my debut album, offering both obvious and subtle nods to the Jet 5 vibe and lifestyle. There are plenty of ‘if you know, you know’ moments in there. Have a listen and enjoy,” Massy shared.

Massy first made his mark at open mic nights at the Visible Ink Youth Hub in Fortitude Valley last year. Since then, he’s landed an opening slot for Eso (from Bliss n Eso) in late 2024, and in 2025 has been tearing up the Brisbane battle rap circuit.

Up next, he’ll be performing and co-hosting the Brisbane Teenage Fanclub all-ages concert series on Sunday 7 December at the Triffid Garden 2–5pm.
Pronounced “Mahr-Zee”, Massy is a prolific songwriter whose mature, thought-provoking lyrics belie his age. His upbringing across rural QLD and NSW, then moving to the busy city streets has fuelled his creative fire.
