Hot off their Sydney Opera House forecourt performance with Franz Ferdinand, Teenage Dads are staking their claim for the Christmas season. The Australian indie four-piece share the seasonal single ‘Alone Again For Christmas’ and announce a run of intimate performances to celebrate this time of year. LISTEN & BUY TICKETS HERE.
Just as they delivered on their half a million viewed triple j Like A Version, Teenage Dads meld the retro with a clear through line to the contemporary on ‘Alone Again For Christmas’. Misty and upbeat, the single is sentimental with an analogue sheen, no doubt set to trigger a double-take of recent Christmas renditions by Laufey to She and Him, amongst classics by The Beach Boys.
‘Alone Again For Christmas’ follows the group’s My Memento EP, an extension of their acclaimed Majordomo album; supported across triple j (Feature Album), To Be Magazine, Rolling Stone, 10 Magazine, Frankie, Life Without Andy, 4ZZZ, SYN and more. Since taking home the ARIA Michael Gudinski Breakthrough Artist Award, Teenage Dads have continued to accumulate a legion of fans across tours in Australia, the UK, EU, North America and Canada.
Their dedication to touring includes festival appearances at Beyond The Valley, Lost Paradise, Party in the Paddock, Laneway Festival, SXSW Sydney, The Great Escape (UK), Reeperbahn (GR), Yours & Owls, to stages with Dayglow, Spacey Jane, Lime Cordiale and, more recently, Franz Ferdinand. Across their own headline shows, Teenage Dads have brought breakout acts as Folk Bitch Trio, Phoebe Go, aleksiah, The Moving Stills, Lola Scott and others on the road too.
With the release of ‘Alone Again For Christmas’, the group are set to spread the seasonal cheer across a string of intimate Christmas shows later this month, taking to Brisbane’s Crowbar, Melbourne’s Corner Hotel and Sydney’s Oxford Art Factory. Fans are encouraged to don their best Christmas paraphernalia and keep an eye on Teenage Dads socials for a bunch of Christmas banter that Jordy, Connor, Angus and Vince have in store. AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
