Pirate Life’s Eleventh Birthday party on Saturday 28th of February will be an unapologetic blend of everything they love as a brand – beer, music, food, and community. The official lineup drops and it’s a deeply eclectic mix.
Headlining act, De La Soul (USA) are celebrating the release of the critically acclaimed new studio album ‘Cabin In The Sky’ (their first in nine years), will be joined by a slew of top-tier Australian touring acts and local talent – including one as voted by SA publication The Note’s readership.
Punters can expect the same high-energy production as PL’s Tenth Birthday, which drew 4,500 fans for Millencolin and Pennywise in March.

Pirate Life’s Partnerships and Event Manager, Oran Macartney-Dunne, talks to the Eleventh Birthday lineup here: “We wanted to celebrate a diverse blend of Aussie artists this year, and this lineup does just that. Having international hip hop icons, De La Soul, headlining is the icing on the cake.”
“It’s an awesome mix of hip hop, punk, soul, reggae, and experimental electronic – a taste that leans toward eclectic, socially conscious, and high‑energy underground sounds.
“Our vision for the birthday is to bring people together in celebration of all the things we love as a brand. The music is such an integral part of the experience, and we can’t wait to watch this year’s artists deliver the goods.”
Beyond the live tunes, punters will enjoy limited-release birthday beers, local food, and immersive art and cultural experiences – all with PIrate Life’s Port Adelaide brewery as the backdrop.
