for its 49th event this March

Port Fairy Folk Festival continues to build its much-anticipated line-up with a rich and wide-ranging fourth artist announcement, adding an inspiring mix of international guests, First Nations voices, beloved Australian songwriters, community collaborations and genre-defying performers to the iconic March long-weekend celebration.
From soul-stirring folk and roots to choral spectacles, experimental sounds and participatory experiences, this latest announcement reinforces Port Fairy Folk Festival’s reputation as one of Australia’s most inclusive, adventurous and deeply connected music gatherings.
Joining the line-up are festival favourites including beloved broadcaster and champion of Australian music culture Brian Nankervis, the uplifting Find Your Voice Collective Showcase and the return of the much-loved Port Fairy tradition of the Festival Choir, uniting voices in a joyful communal singalong. Festival-goers can enjoy Yoga & Live Music on Saturday and Sunday morning to start their weekend with a restorative experience of movement, breath and live sound.
Port Fairy Folk Festival Program Director Justin Rudge said this announcement shows the width and breadth of the spirit that is Port Fairy Folk Festival. “World class artists sharing the stage with emerging voices, community choirs and participatory experiences – Port Fairy Folk Festival is about celebrating music as something that brings people together, whether that’s through an intimate song, a shared cultural story, or thousands of voices singing as one. We’re just two months away from our 49th festival and we can’t wait to continue traditions and celebrations in the beautiful village of Port Fairy.”
Port Fairy Folk Festival promises another unforgettable year of music, connection and creativity by the sea for its 49th event taking place at one of Australia’s favourite tiny town, Port Fairy in Victoria.

AMNPLIFY – DB

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
