Acclaimed Irish band Beoga announce an exciting lineup of support acts for their February Australian headline shows, featuring artists from Ireland and Australia who each bring a unique voice to contemporary folk and roots music. In addition to their headline shows and festival appearances, Beoga will perform with global superstar Ed Sheeran on his massive national stadium tour.

Multi award-winning Irish songwriter Mark Caplice will open the Sydney show, delivering his trademark blend of sharp lyricism, storytelling, and high-energy performance. Mark has collaborated with The Recording Academy (Grammys) and produced work for television and film across the world.

Brisbane audiences will be treated to the captivating songs of Sue Ray, a three-time Queensland Music Award winner known for her emotive songwriting, powerful vocals, and commanding live shows. With a new album on the horizon, Ray continues to cement her reputation as one of Australia’s most compelling singer-songwriters.

In Melbourne, Beoga will be joined by Maggie Carty, a Roscommon-born banjo player and singer. Drawing on deep Irish traditional roots and contemporary folk influences, Carty’s music explores themes of identity, migration, and belonging, offering a fresh and modern take on Irish folk music.

With an adventurous spirit and a passion for charting the road less travelled, Beoga have shown that Irish traditional music can take fresh new directions. That world-facing potential was proven by the popularity of their collaborations ‘Galway Girl’ and ‘Nancy Mulligan’ with Ed Sheeran on his all-conquering ‘÷’ album.  ‘Galway Girl’ has been streamed over 1.4 billion times on Spotify alone.  Amongst their own headline dates, Beoga will join Sheeran on stage each night in some of Australia’s largest venues.

With new album Phases, a Grammy nomination, international tours, and collaborations with artists including Ed Sheeran on his Divide album, Beoga have earned a reputation as one of Ireland’s most exciting and genre-blurring acts. Their sound blends accordion, fiddle, keyboards, guitars, and vocals into a vibrant, modern take on Irish roots music.
