Rising British rapper, producer, and creative V.I.C unleashes his new trap heater, “She Said.”

Bursting with the kind of swaggering, East Coast flavour he’s known to flex, “She Said” emerges with bold, retro-fitted samples and potent trap percussion; forming a sleek atmosphere for the young lyricist to flaunt his distinctive cadence and lyrical focus alongside sharp, hazy instrumentation. V.I.C quickly supplies an electric narration of ambition and purpose, breezing past the competition while overcoming the usual confusion and self-doubt that can surface when exploring a new connection. Utilising these moments of strength and integrity, V.I.C continues to inspire the next generation to stay driven and break boundaries – enhancing his upper echelon rap style and cementing himself as a serious creative force in the UK and beyond.

Speaking on the record, V.I.C explains: “‘She Said’ is a comment on the social media stereotype of what girls say they want versus what they actually want. I’m both the storyteller and a victim of this trap. The way I see it, if a guy focuses on his purpose and hustles and makes something of himself, whether the girl you’re seeing has expensive taste or not, both parties are winning. I also wanted to create a song that girls can use to flex and show off like they did when they were younger, cosplaying like princesses.”

2025 marked another standout year for the rising superstar in the making. With acclaimed releases and performances across Europe – including his potent EP VARÏANT, which collected over 6.5M streams and serious tastemaker love from WONDERLAND to NOTION – V.I.C further established his powerful artistry with his recent singles “40 Doors” and “Cole Palmer.” Delivering vintage textures with a sharpened UK edge, this signature sound proves the young talent is not waiting for permission; he is carving out unique spaces that formed the foundations for his prominent performance at Reading & Leeds. Taking on the infamous BBC INTRODUCING stage, sharing the same space as UK mainstays including Loyle Carner and Kofi Stone, the electric performance was praised by NME, who evoked 50 Cent’s Get Rich or Die Tryin’ as a reflection of V.I.C’s determination and ability to cross international borders. Closing out the year with another incendiary performance at the BBC INTRO showcase at The Lower Third, cutting his teeth alongside MOBO-nominated artists DC3 and JayaHadADream, V.I.C firmly established himself as a significant voice in British music.

Born in Nigeria, before finding refuge across the bustling streets of London – a vigorous and reflective journey perfectly encapsulated on his debut EP Bedroom Chronicles – V.I.C earned breakout status through tracks like “A Teen,” proving his global influence with placement on the official FIFA 22 soundtrack. Now sitting on over 42M streams, further acclaim from CLASH, COLORS, GRM DAIL Y, BBC RADIO 1, and more – all while selling out shows across the UK, including Camden Assembly – V.I.C’s inner-city documentation and knowledge continues to reach blazing new heights.

Exploring identity, development, resilience, and the perils of a young artist making waves in London, V.I.C’s surge in UK rap will no doubt bring further critical attention amid his growing reputation and clout in profusion.
