A WEEKEND IN THE GARDENS
Wrap-Up … And Here’s the Video!
.
.
The second A WEEKEND IN THE GARDENS proved this was no average garden party. There was something for everyone as the ROYAL BOTANIC GARDENS came alive with great music, native cocktails, delicious food and, in true Melbourne fashion, four seasons in threedays!
Nearly 10,000 music fans enjoyed fantastic music from Paul Kelly, Steve Earle, Middle Kids (Friday), Illy, Thundamentals, Spit Syndicate, Birdz, Jesswar (Saturday), and Missy Higgins, Dustin Tebbutt, All Our Exes Live In Texas, Harry Jakamarra (Sunday).
Fab food was provided in The Eatery by Royale Brothers Burgers, Hiro Poke Bar, Willy’s Fried Chicken & BBQ, Pittsburgh BBQ, Lucky’s Noodles and Señor Churro. Once again the Native Cocktail Bar proved to be one of the most popular destinations, with cocktail lovers enjoying the so-very-Melbourne Bush Coffee, Native Spritz, Tiki Roundhouse and an Apple Iced Tea. And what better way to farewell Spring than with a glass of Pimm’s on the lawn!
It was impossible not to appreciate the beautiful backdrop to it all, Melbourne’s iconic Royal Botanic Gardens. Mother Nature had her say on Saturday with the skies opening up but no rain or storms could dampen the spirits of the thousands of revellers.
Promoter Michael Newton, from Roundhouse Entertainment, said: “The three days of music were as diverse as the weather, catering for all musical tastes. Great food and drink, and even better music in Melbourne’s most beautiful spot for an outdoor concert – what more could you ask for! Our first A WEEKEND In The Gardens in March was an overwhelming success so it was really pleasing to back it up with another brilliant event. We can’t wait for the next one.”
And stay tuned for another announcement soon. We look forward to seeing you in the GARDENS in 2018!
