. . . . . . . . . .ABBEY LANE
shows her vulnerable side
with new single
‘PRETTY FACE’Sydney based indie-pop artist, Abbey Lane, has dropped her latest emotion-packed single, ‘Pretty Face’. Abbey Lane shows off her vulnerability and versatility in this track, exploring themes around fear of time moving too fast, existentialism and struggles about pursuing a career in the creative arts. These heavy concepts are complimented by gritty guitar riffs and swirling synths, creating a three and a half minute rollercoaster full of passion and groove.
“I originally wrote parts of this song when I was 16, and re-worked it over the past couple of years since I found a lot of the lyrics were still relevant. It’s an amalgam of thoughts circling around time, relationships and pursuing a career as a singer-songwriter.”
The single comes as a follow up to her impressive debut, ‘Hypnotised’, which introduced us to the world of Abbey Lane. Her new single gives touchstones of similar production styles, continuing to incorporate her fore-front synths blended with an indie-pop outlook within her lyrics and melodies. Jordan Leonard took on the role as producer on this track; a first collaboration between the two like-minded creatives, which is hopefully the start to many more songs.
“The music for this track sparked from an idea of creating a drop with a dirty lead guitar line played in between heavy synths. I’m also a fiend for using syncopated synth rhythms, so the chorus flowed from there.”
Abbey Lane has been circulating the music scene since 2019, showcasing her musicianship in acclaimed venues across NSW, including Oxford Art Factory, The Lansdowne Hotel, Factory Theatre and The Cambridge Hotel. Make sure to catch Abbey Lane at one of her upcoming gigs and experience her electric live energy first hand!

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
