Driven by an understated beat and delivered with barely-restrained emotion, Aeora’s ‘Party All Night’ (premiered via Pilerats) is torn between compassion and frustration, and wrestles with the reality that youthful abandon isn’t always an option. Washed-out chords roll over the track’s generous, ambient space, joined subtly and smoothly by complex layers of percussion, synth and bass in an impassioned, stirring outro.
Also co-produced with Haxx at Melbourne’s Joyluck Studios is Aeora’s new forthcoming EP ‘Let Loose’ will house five high-sheen pop moments that are equally honest and danceable. For her part, Aeora describes the ‘Let Loose’ as “a collection of songs that all resemble a period of time where I started to deal with some issues that surrounded me in a really positive way. I started to push for the truth and push for what I really wanted from certain people in my life.

“These songs are hugely confrontational and more truthful than I have ever been, which I think has also been hugely empowering for me. Through this period for me, I’ve also had more thoughts on how this music isn’t exclusively for my own emotional release anymore. I used to write out of the selfishness of just needing to release some emotions but for these songs, I really considered what I wanted listeners to feel. I didn’t want them to feel sad or angry about certain things anymore; I want people to feel like having fun and to feel confident in themselves and the people around them,” says Aeora.
Named an artist to watch two years in a row by Australian electronic music authorities Purple Sneakers and Pilerats respectively, Aeora makes evocative electro pop that combines the raw emotion of her country singer/songwriter background with pillowy, powerful production. Her uniquely hypnotic approach has found airplay and support with triple j, Triple R, PBSFM, FBi Radio, 4ZZZ, Stoney Roads, Acid Stag, Outlet Mag, The Ladies Network, Belgium-based High Clouds and many more. Having previously impressed audiences with appearances at EMC and Canadian Music Week, Aeora will launch ‘Let Loose’ with more live shows to be announced – this time with a band behind her.
