Following on from the airwave-dominating “Little More Love”, two Brit Award nominations (British Male Solo Artist, British Single), and the release of his incredible sophomore album – Flu Game, AJ Tracey today shares the official video for album-highlight “Summertime Shootout” feat. T-Pain. A melodic and euphoric track that showcases the West London musician’s ever-growing ability to traverse genres with his dexterous and witty wordplay.
“Summertime Shootout” arrives as the perfect visual for warmer months ahead. Teaming up with McDonald’s UK for the accompanying visual, launching the new McSpicy burger in the UK, AJ and his friends relax on a summer’s day at the fictional Tracey Manor, hosting a cookout with stand-out guest appearances from the likes of Unknown T, Headie One, SL and Big Zuu, alongside American rapper, singer, songwriter and producer, T-Pain. Since emerging in 2004, T-Pain not only changed the course of pop, hip-hop, and R&B, but he also reshaped the fabric of the culture itself. Beyond moving over 50 million singles, gathering billions of streams, picking up six GRAMMY Awards, and selling out shows on multiple continents, the Nappy Boy Entertainment label honcho’s influence has transcended generations. Showcasing the pair’s unbeatable collaboration, today’s “Summertime Shootout” music video has created an unbeatable collaboration, set to take over your summer.

The new single is taken from the stellar sixteen-track offering from the West London creative, Flu Game where it sees AJ showcasing twelve brand new tracks, with tantalising international features including Kehlani, T-Pain, SahBabii, NAV and Millie Go Lightly. On the production front, AJ calls on regular collaborators Nyge, The Elements, Kazza, AoD and Remedee, as well as producing “Eurostep” himself. The project also features the UK top-5 charting singles “Bringing It Back” with Digga D, “West Ten” with Mabel, and the Platinum smash “Dinner Guest” feat. MoStack.
In the build-up to Flu Game, AJ Tracey assumed the character of a rising young basketball player, even appearing in a live-streamed press conference to reveal his next move. At the forefront of pushing creative boundaries, Flu Game draws influence from the story of Michael Jordan and his Chicago Bulls team in the late 90s, referencing one of MJ’s most memorable championship games, where he overcame a nasty bout of food poisoning (brought on by a dodgy takeaway pizza) and took the Bulls to the championship.
AJ Tracey has always been destined to succeed in the world of music. Born into a family of music, AJ’s own persistence and dedication has proved himself to be one of the world’s most sought-after talents, dominating the music industry with his slick lyricism and unique productions. Outside of music, AJ has found himself placed in Forbes 30 under 30 for 2018 and being placed on the prestigious BBC Sound Poll in 2017. Critically acclaimed, AJ has enjoyed support from the likes of British Vogue, Pitchfork, The Fader, Dazed & Confused, Wonderland Magazine, i-D, NME, Noisey and more. In Australia, Flu Game was triple j’s Spotlight Album and received praise from the likes of Acclaim, GQ Australia, MTV Australia, Semi Permanent, ICON Magazine, Rage and more.

Now boasting over 1 billion global streams independently, AJ has become a true musical, cultural and societal icon whose influence spans the global scale. AJ is also newly announced as one of the faces on the front of New Era’s explosive new music campaign, “The Music Generations”, which celebrates the brand’s history through culture by championing pioneering artists across all genres. As part of the collab, AJ designed his own New Era collection which is directly inspired by the basketball themes of his new album.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
