Rise and shine, Sydney-born, L.A. based singer songwriter, producer and DJ Alison Wonderland makes a stunning return with soaring synth-pop track ‘Church’, the first official single from her forthcoming album, AWAKE.

Underneath its vibrant pop pulse, AWAKE is the sound of Wonderland emerging from her own darkness. On ‘Church’, she reveals her most honest lyrics to date, sharing her personal struggles with difficult relationships, anxiety and self-doubt, explaining that the song is about “realising your self-worth, when the person you’re with doesn’t.”

A mix of digital-pop and incendiary beats, AWAKE will see Wonderland blaze new territory – sonically, vocally, and emotionally. Honed by years of playing literally hundreds of headline shows and festival slots around the globe, it comes as both a natural evolution from her Gold certified, 2015 debut Run and an exhilarating step forward.

“I just wanted to go bigger and really push myself,” she explains. “Vocally, I can hear a massive difference. I’m a lot more comfortable with my voice now and I’m not afraid to get on the mic and just go for it.”

Over the last five years, Wonderland has carved an international touring career second to none, performing at some of the largest live music events ever assembled.  At this year’s Coachella (April 13 + 20), she’ll become the highest billed female DJ in the Festival’s history.  She has developed her own live music projects, Warehouse and Scarehouse, which consistently sell out thousands of tickets to adoring fans.

Wonderland‘s breakthrough debut album Run entered Billboard’s Top Dance/Electronic Albums chart at No. 1. It also topped the iTunes Top Electronic Albums chart in the U.S. and the iTunes Albums chart in Australia, and spawned Platinum single ‘Run’. Run has sold more than 150,000 album equivalent units worldwide and has more than 140 million cumulative streams.

In 2017, Wonderland won New Artist of the Year honours at the Electronic Music Awards and was named as one of the top DJs in the world by DJ Mag. Billboard singled out Wonderland’s remix of Dua Lipa’s hit ‘New Rules’ as “one of the best remixes of the year.”

Following the release of AWAKE and her Coachella performances, Alison will take the stage at Belgium’s Tomorrowland 2018, confirmed for July 20-22 and 27-29.
