Having been through grief, heartbreak and healing whilst “listening to a lot of f**king incredible women”, Sydney’s GRAACE is back with her first new project in two years.
Today she announces her EP afterimage which will be released on August 16th via Sony Music / The Orchard. Alongside the announcement, GRAACE also shares new single ‘Her’ which can be streamed here.
GRAACE was catapulted into the limelight with ‘NUMB’, her triple platinum collaboration with Australian producer and DJHayden James. Now, with almost 100 million streams on Spotify, it sent her star on the rise, taking GRAACE through two EPs, numerous hit singles, and countless tours around the globe.
Through new tracks such as EP opener ‘Jealous Type’ and ‘Love Is Getting Wasted’, the new seven-track EP afterimage takes us through jealousy, angst, nostalgia, denial, ambivalence, reflection, acceptance, and then some, with each track representing a stage at the end of a relationship, and the ensuing broken heart when it all comes tumbling down.
Latest single ‘Her’ distils many of these emotions with GRAACE commenting: “After a breakup, it’s common to feel the need to check in on your ex as they move on, eventually realising you’ve been replaced. Comparing yourself to their new partner, you might view them through rose-tinted glasses, leading to a mix of jealousy, self-doubt, and infatuation. Unsure if you’re jealous, aspire to be like her, or desire to be with her, this universal experience often results in becoming more invested in her than your ex”.
On the new EP, GRAACE added “Just as an afterimage is the lingering impression of an object seen after closing your eyes, afterimage captures the essence of carrying past relationships into new experiences, incorporating the lessons, heartbreak, and love from those encounters”.
Support continues to build with GRAACE being championed by the likes of The Fader, The Line Of Best Fit, Clash, Notion Magazine, NME, Wonderland and Radio 1 who have been spinning recent singles.
Fresh from a massive support run in Australia with Stephen Sanchez, GRAACE is currently in London for a sold out headline show, before returning home to support The Dreggs on their Australian tour.
More about GRAACE
GRAACE’s breakthrough happened in 2017 when she co-wrote and featured on Hayden James’ platinum-selling electro-pop single ‘Numb’. GRAACE’s sparkling vocals intertwined seamlessly with the club-ready production, making it an instant hit.
Riding high from the success of ‘Numb’, in 2018 GRAACE released her debut ‘Self-Sabotage’ EP, which has amassed 40 million streams to date. In 2019, she shared a trio of singles, the emotional ‘Have Fun at Your Party’, ‘21st Century Love”’ and the raw and introspective ‘Overthink’.
In 2020, GRAACE dropped the moving ‘Hard to Say’ with I.E., a touching tribute to somebody very close to her heart, who sadly took his own life in 2019. Showcasing her musical dexterity, she then switched things up with the hot and heavy electro-pop number ‘Body Language’.
A response to ‘Self-Sabotage’, GRAACE released the melancholic ‘Self Preservation’ EP in 2022. Now, GRAACE is sitting on hundreds of unreleased tracks – and she’s just at the beginning of her new era.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
