Sydney singer-songwriter Dylan Wright will be releasing his forthcoming EP Times Like These on Friday, July 30.
Dylan reaches into the depths of his songwriting to produce an absorbing body of work. Each track navigates the highs and lows of the seven years since his debut, marrying his youthful innocence with a maturity born out of adversity.
Dylan’s charm shines through on focus track “Promise” while therapeutic pieces “Broken Paradise” and “Passing Through” document personal struggles and the path to recovery. Times Like These adds to Dylan’s impressive catalogue, with his solo work and collaborations totalling 7.5 million streams globally.
Through subtlety and beautiful simplicity, Dylan brings every emotion to the table on this EP while continuing to offer the listener hope. As he always has, Dylan compels us to smile with every note.

Hailing from Sydney’s southern beaches, Dylan’s voice and music captures a certain vulnerability and beauty that goes hand in hand with his laid-back nature. Dylan possesses the maturity of an industry veteran with the fearlessness of an emerging artist. Through unique articulation and clever songwriting, Dylan expresses genuine emotion, leaving audiences instantly immersed with his mellow and awe-inspiring performances.
Since his debut EP The Long Way Home in 2014, Dylan has been lighting up stages around the Shire and Inner West. Often armed with just his acoustic guitar, Dylan’s infectious tunes and performances became a staple at the Brass Monkey, growing from close friends and family to a large local following. From this came the opportunity for Dylan to perform at the East Coast Music Week in Charlottetown, Canada, Woodford Folk Festival and support the likes of Kim Churchill, Diesel, Hot Potato Band and Caravãna Sun.
In 2016, Dylan collaborated with French DJ Møme on his album Panorama. Their track “Hold On” was an instant hit, garnering over 7 million streams on Spotify and 2.5 million views on the music video, proving the subtle Australiana qualities in his voice make for international success. Dylan’s latest collaboration with French producer Altero has amassed nearly 300,000 streams since its February release.
Returning to his roots, Dylan followed his debut EP with the adoring single “All to Myself”. The single was spun nationally on triple j and triple j Unearthed, and quickly amassed 60,000 streams on Spotify. Subsequent singles “Passing Through” and “Broken Paradise” helped Dylan continue to grow a loyal fanbase, hitting 10,000 followers on Tik Tok after his artistry went viral once again.
Leading the new EP is “Promise”, full of the charm that made us fall in love from the start. Travelling through song, “Promise” is a taste of the freedom we once had and the leap of faith required to leave behind comfort in the pursuit of happiness. It’s this hope that Dylan captures in his music that makes it so easy to indulge, navigating the endless possibilities of our emotions but always ensuring there’s a smile at the end of every song.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
