“It’s taken three years to get this one right! I love pop music and my favourite songs are all about falling in love (or heartbreak) and I’m dying to write those songs but I’m the kind of songwriter who needs to pull from my experiences. Seeing as I’ve never had this particular experience, I wanted to write about that. It’s taken a few angles, but we wrote it about the start of a relationship, when you don’t know where it’s headed and you’re scared-excited that it might finally be the time you fall in love.” – JOSHUA

WA based independent artist JOSHUA has just unleashed his melancholic new single ‘Never Been In Love’. The single is the second release from his debut EP ‘Albany’, set for release on April 16.
“This is a song for the hopeless romantics. I’ve always gravitated towards love songs and movie romances. I itch to write those kinds of songs but I can’t write without experiences. I’ve never had a full on romance experience. So I wrote about that. I’ve never been in love but I still wanted this to sound moody, romantic and melancholic.”
JOSHUA combines honest songwriting with an infectious dark pop sound. Unafraid to explore complex emotions, the mononym of Joshua Brew is a constant work-in-progress.
The young songsmith secured the Regional Arts WA’s 2020 Resilience Grant, providing him the necessary funds to create his debut EP. The EP was recorded with the likes of MSQUARED (Casey Barnes, CXLOE, Will Hyde), Cam Nacson (SADBOii, CXLOE, Kota Banks) and Rahel Phillips (Billy Davis, Ruel).
JOSHUA recently released his single ‘Jump’, which was premiered via The Music. The single has since been aired on over 50 radio stations across Australia.
New single ‘Never Been In Love’ is available for download and streaming on all major online stores.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
