Perth local Nic Rollo is stepping into the spotlight with his own solo career, after spending the last few years playing in local bands. His debut single “Move Me” is a slice of pop pie, garnished with glistening synths, sonic depth, and upbeat danceability, releasing on Friday May 3rd.

“Move Me” is the product of Nic’s personal reflection with social pressures as he explains,“A lot of the EP is about the deterioration of a few close friendships and relationships, as well as my own struggles with overthinking.  Move Me is about not letting these things impact me in a destructive away.”

Drawing influence from a diverse range of favourite artists including The Weeknd, David Bowie and Radiohead, “Move Me” is a song encouraging independence of thought, rich with relatable themes. “Honestly I just want people to feel something when they listen to the songs.  So much of my life has had a soundtrack.  For all the good and bad experiences I’ve gone through there’s been a song to represent that time period.  If other people can get that from my music then I’ll feel successful as an artist.“

Nic Rollo self produced the majority of this single at home with help from guitarist Felix Parker, and recorded “Move Me” at Blackbird Studio in Perth. The single will feature on a forthcoming EP, out later this year.
