Hobart based Indie Rocker Sam Hunn has unleashed his debut EP ‘Dope Rocket’, which was premiered exclusively via AMNplify.
“The ‘Dope Rocket’ EP is punkier, folkier and maybe a bit more candid than songs I’d previously written. This EP is not a stand-alone release but rather the start of me experimenting with different styles of writing and having more scope to do that by having another outlet to make music through.”
Sam Hunn draws influence from the likes of Weezer, Nirvana, Smashing Pumpkins, Ballpark Music, Courtney Barnett, and Neil Young to create his intoxicating brand of Indie Rock.

Hunn released his sublime single called ‘Kurt Cobain’ in 2023. The single (which is taken from his debut EP) received positive coverage from the likes of Backseat Mafia, TheMusic.com.au and Australian Music Scene, whilst securing airplay on over 100 radio stations worldwide.
“It’s visceral and raw, a post punk anthem that tips its hat at Nirvana and Smashing Pumpkins with its scything barbed-wire guitars mixed with sweet melodies.” Arun Kendall – Backseat Mafia
Debut EP called ‘Dope Rocket’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.
“The ‘Dope Rocket’ EP is a bunch of songs I wrote that weren’t a fit for our band Verticoli but I thought were cool and wanted to have heard. They are punkier, folkier and maybe a bit more candid than songs I’d previously written. This EP is not a stand alone release but rather the start of me experimenting with different styles of writing and having more scope to do that by having another outlet to make music through. I hope people enjoy the songs!” – Sam Hunn

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
