Melbourne based musician Zak Fleisher returns after a 2-year hiatus, with the announcement of his new two-track mini EP scheduled for release on the 24th of April comprising of singles Get Away and TurnTable.
Zak Fleisher is a breath of fresh air, his music is a fusion of pop, rock, blues, and soul that allows him to create a signature sound unique to himself. His latest project Get Away/TurnTable, sees Zak taking on more of a country sound showing his versatility as an artist and a composer.
“Enjoy it. For a long period of time, I stopped enjoying playing & performing whilst trying to make it a career. Once I put that aside & started enjoying the music again, I really fell back in love with it.” – Zak Fleisher
The influences of Zak Fleisher are sprinkled throughout the sound he creates, being influenced by the likes of The Black Keys, King Krule, Pink Floyd, and Jimi Hendrix. Throughout his career, Zak has also had comparisons to the Arctic Monkeys and Mac DeMarco, evident through his former releases such as Mean and Decisive.
Zak Fleisher has seen recognition from various media outlets throughout his career, with his music video for his single Decisive being played on MTV and being able to play on live television on Channel 31 Melbourne. His single Green Girl has also been voted on the 8th place for 89.7FM Live n Local hottest tracks of 2016.
With 2020 seeing Zak Fleisher’s return from a 2-year long hiatus, he mentions that the music he has written recently is free from the pressures of the mainstage and has allowed him to draw from his creativity more intimately. However, in the months to follow after the release of this project, Zak plans to line up a few shows and to bring his music closer to more people than he has before.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
