“Tall Poppies is a reggae style song about the frustration of trying to gain traction in the music industry. Australians in particular tend to have ‘tall poppy syndrome’. Sometimes in Australia it feels like an uphill battle and the temptation is to head overseas to try your luck! It’s exciting to think that now Covid is in the past, we can travel again, the world is opening up and with that a lot of new opportunities.” – Misha Bear
Melbourne based Indie Pop artist Misha Bear has just released her new music video called ’Tall Poppies’. The song is taken from her recently released album album ‘Superflower’.
Misha Bear artfully blends elements of Indie, Pop and Electronica to create her signature sound. Bear pens progressive, synth-laden songs that have catchy, mainstream appeal.
Her recorded style has been evolving since 2014 when Bear released her first EP, ‘Mouche’. She followed this with three more releases in quick succession (‘Ladybug’, 2018; ‘Stories’, 2019; and ‘Heart Gallery’, 2020).
Through the Pandemic lockdown, Misha used her time off stage to learn how to produce videos, and has been busily creating incredible video clips for all her songs, as well as maintaining a weekly YouTube series, called ‘Songwriting Express’, in which she reveals her songwriting process and writes a new song every episode.
Bear teamed with producer David Herzog to record her brand new album ‘Superflower’. The relatable album expresses her journey from single girl to new mum, and how the Pandemic affected her life at this time.
‘Superflower’ is available on all major online stores and streaming services.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
