BIO
Rach Brennan & The Pines promise a sound that is completely their own.
The singer-songwriter’s sunny spirit is embedded in their captivating live performances. Bolstered by their distinctive close-knit vocal style; Rach Brennan & The Pines sing of friendship, innocence and the unabashed naivety of falling in and out of love.
While conceiving the material for their forthcoming debut album ‘Here’s to Better Times & Seeing Better Places’, Rach took her music on a solo endeavour to Europe in 2015, playing a string of 27 shows across 10 countries, returning in 2017 with The Pines. In 2018 five-piece regrouped in the studio to complete what would become the first singles from their impending release.
‘Weapon of Love’ (#4 on the iTunes Singer Songwriter charts), ‘I Wanna See You’ (#2 on AMRAP regional charts) and ‘Underground’ all found success on Triple J Unearthed with Dave Ruby Howe declaring Underground as – “Another strong offering from this band. It’ll put some wind in your sail.” Additionally, ‘I Wanna See You’ found success on Triple J’s Roots n All.
The album was recorded live at Burwood Sound Studios with Lee Bradshaw and is first project to celebrate Rach’s collaboration with her brother (and songwriting partner) Liam on bass, Cam playing keys, Levi as lead guitarist and Kane on drums. They soon after became ‘The Pines’; inspired and armed with ambition, they were the perfect response to Rach’s longing for a line-up of like-minded, brilliant musicians. The transition was effortless and the passion grew quickly as their collaborations became more frequent, and the record began to materialise in the studio.
RB&TP return this February with a playful new single ‘Hindsight’, which Brennan describes as “a moment of clarity”. The coming of age track ties in with the reoccurring themes of the growing pains that come with reaching adulthood.

Rach Brennan & The Pines are back with their 4th single from their upcoming debut album, Here’s To Better Times & Seeing Better Places. And so far it’s been success after success for the young band with their first single ‘Weapon of Love’ reaching #4 on the iTunes Singer Songwriter charts, their second single ‘I Wanna See You’ hitting #2 on AMRAP regional charts, and their 3rd single ‘Underground’ finding success on Triple J Unearthed with Dave Ruby Howe declaring it “Another strong offering from this band. It’ll put some wind in your sail.” Now Rach Brennan & The Pines are back with their fourth single, ‘Hindsight’.
“‘Hindsight’ is about a moment of clarity when you realise that you’re no longer young, but not yet old… But even though you might feel stuck or limited in experience, the world around you keeps moving at breakneck pace with no sign of slowing down. In this time in your life you either stay still and let it rush past you… Or you let go, be kind to yourself and let the current take you.” – Rach Brennan (vocals/guitar)
The Pines playfully underscore this boppy coming of age tale with snappy drums and bright guitars. And like with all Rach Brennan & The Pines songs, the energy is infectious! If you don’t believe me then look no further than the celebratory final chorus of the track which is no doubt destined to fill the lungs of new listeners and loyal followers alike, “thinking in hindsight won’t help me to sleep at night”. This jaunty mantra completes the circle of arriving at adulthood, having fallen back in love with the world.
Amongst all their chart success, Rach Brennan & The Pines have also been keeping busy supporting Australian music alumni such as Bob Evans,The Teskey Brothers, Lisa Mitchell and Sahara Beck to name but a few. The band have also emerged as festival favourites, appearing at Queenscliff Music Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival and Peaks & Sounds.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
