“I Hear You”

From forthcoming debut LP
Through the Distortion

& Announce National Tour

 – EXCLUSIVE AMNPLIFY PREMIERE

After a strong run of singles including “They Don’t Know Us” and “Count On Me” ft. LANKS (which takes him to the Top 20 Most Streamed Electronic Artists in Australia), Kilter is pleased to announce his highly anticipated debut album Through The Distortion out June 9 via etcetc. The Sydney-based producer today shares his thumping new single “I Hear You” which premiered via triple j’s Good Nights and announces a live national tour. Presented by triple j and NANA JUDY, the tour sees Kilter visit six cities with Brisbane beatmaker Feki and Melbourne synth-pop duo ALTA on support duties, before performing at Byron Bay’s Splendour in the Grass Festival.

In pure Kilter style, “I Hear You” starts slow and ends big, its crafty formatting allowing a climactic, exhilarating release. With each listen, another layer of wild, melodic ambience is unveiled as his impeccable production abilities shine through.

From Kilter: “[A] weird beat idea that I had sidelined for almost a year before it found its feet. My initial writing on this song was focused around the relationship between the growling bass sound and the shifting half time/double time feel in the percussion. It was weird but I felt there was something to it.”

In past years, Kilter has transformed from a young, aspiring producer to a multi-instrumental electronic-lord with a collective audience from all corners of the globe. Both “They Don’t Know Us” and “Count On Me” received rotation on triple j, nods from Rolling Stone, as well as millions of streams online. Last year Kilter maintained a manic touring schedule, hitting the UK and European festival season before returning home for a string of national headline shows and festival appearances at Falls Festival, Southbound and Bay Dreams. Kilter is currently in the US on his first ever North American headline tour, and next, he heads off on a national run of dates throughout June and July, coinciding with his Splendour In The Grass 2017 performance. TOUR DATES BELOW.

Through The Distortion is a wholly realised body of work, taking two years to perfect. With just a few months before its release, Kilter has announced an album bundle available for pre-order below. For now though, hear this and sit tight – we have a feeling Kilter’s return home will be even bigger than the last.
