Since arriving fully formed via their (recorded in one afternoon) debut EP, Giddy Up in 2016, Amyl and The Sniffers have from that moment provided a white hot spark capturing the attention of music fans and critics the world over. Drawn to the manic and magnetic energy of front woman Amy Taylor and energised by the taught, tough inner city rock ‘n’ roll of her fellow members Gus Romer (bass), Bryce Wilson (drums) and Declan Martens (guitar), Amyl and The Sniffers are fast becoming one of the biggest Antipodean acts to emerge on the global stage in the past few years.
Amyl and The Sniffers self-titled debut blasts forth with a fevered intent, taking no prisoners and backing up on vinyl the formidable live reputation formed by this idiosyncratic quartet.
Released May 24th, 2019 through Flightless Records, the album will be available on limited edition LP, standard LP & all digital platforms.

Here’s what the press are saying so far:
“Taylor is a certified butt-kicking, drink-sculling, rock star…” **** The Herald Sun
“concise and captivating” 3RRR Album of The Week
“…mesmerising showcase of their dichotic mix of classic rock n roll and modern punk rock through songs that’ll have crowds begging for more.” 8/10 Hysteria Magazine
“You aren’t gonna forget The Sniffers in a hurry.” **** Newcastle Herald
“…it’s still refreshing to hear primitive, raw and febrile rock’n’roll bottled so appealingly and urgently as it is here.” **** The Music
“Amyl & the Sniffers sound like Blondie deciding they’d be better off as a dirtbag bar band who dabbled in hardcore. It’s a combination that results in some glorious noise.” – ROLLING STONE
“The Australian band recall the heady days of punk: spiky, wild, provocative, and a little dangerous with a fierce live reputation.” – FADER
“Front person Amy Taylor sports a mullet and performs with a dangerous cheek — she has to be seen to be believed. On the record, she’s as effective as grabbing your attention.” -NEW YORK MAGAZINE
“A soundtrack for vengefully pillaging your rivals’ towns, “Got You” is a hell of an introduction to Australian punks Amyl and The Sniffers” – MTV NEWS
“They left audiences slack-jawed” – NEW YORKER
“Firebrand vocalist Amy Taylor leads this crew of housemates-turned-garage outfit, whose chaotic live shows and one-two punch recordings have earned them a bad reputation of the very best kind.” – LA TIMES
“Everything you want out of an Aussie punk band – tough sound, bad haircuts, nearly indecipherable accents, and a lead singer that causes utter pandemonium. They play pub punk with a chaotic lyrical delivery from bloody-kneed, loogie-hocking frontwoman Amy Taylor.” – AUSTIN CHRONICLE
“Aussie punk outfit Amyl & The Sniffers continued to stake their claim as one of the planet’s most explosive new bands – NME
“Live, Amyl consistently leave audiences gobsmacked, the album captures their energy and fervor perfectly…their vitality is palpable.” – LOUDER THAN WAR
“The single most exhilarating rock’n’roll show I’ve seen in years.” – THE GUARDIAN
“Exhilirating Australian punks deliver a white-knuckle adrenaline rush.” – LOUDER THAN WAR *9/10 ALBUM REVIEW
“… the band…create an almighty racket pitched somewhere between American hardcore and heavy metal. Singer Amy Taylor has charisma to spare.” – LLV *7/10 ALBUM REVIEW
“Like the gobules of flob that are regularly spat from [singer Amy] Taylor’s mouth, Amyl & The Sniffers are largely on target, frequently messy and wonderfully obnoxious.” – CLASSIC ROCK
“Despite the anarchic edge to their music, it’s the band’s natural gift for a catchy chorus and lyrics chronicling everyday life in their hometown which makes songs such as ‘Starfire 500’, ‘Shake Ya’ and single ‘Monsoon Rock’ such an accessible joyride, and it’s easy to see why in such turbulent times the band’s carefree spirit has caught the imagination of so many.” – SHINDIG
“Fast, ruthless and forever on the brink of falling apart, The Sniffers deliver each track with relentless and uninterrupted pace. Taylor either paces the ranks of her mulleted bandmates or summersaults over the top of the frenzied crowd.” – LOUD & QUIET
“On-stage in Seattle, Amy Taylor flexes and shadow boxes while the band maintain the high-intensity riff repetition of ‘Got You’ from the new album. From their first show playing to 20 people at Melbourne club Yah Yah’s, she’s never felt fear in front of an audience.” – MOJO (ON THE ROAD FEATURE)
“Amid the aggro, Taylor’s intense stack-heeled charisma dominates: whether raging (Gacked On Anger) or romancing (“Beer in the cupboard, your eyes to mine”), she’s the queen of this glorious chunder from Down Under.” – MOJO *4/5 ALBUM REVIEW
“Without a doubt it’s heavy rock n’ roll with a ‘70s punk and garage feel. The album is relentlessly fast, trashy and manic…Nominated for the Vive Le Rock New Band award, Amyl are no doubt making waves on the UK rock scene, with many enthralled by the star quality of singer Amy after witnessing the band’s live set.” – VIVA LE ROCK *8/10 ALBUM REVIEW
“Like attempting to explain the concept of a mud bath to your Dad, listening to Amyl and The Sniffers is diving head-first into decades of punk basement sweat and last night’s smeared makeup on a two-day hangover and emerging full invigorated…It’s delicious stuff.” – DIY *4/5 ALBUM REVIEW
“The band continue to wow live audiences from city to city, and continent to continent. What they also have in common with their aforementioned peers is a penchant for creating instantly memorable yet timeless music. Music that doesn’t discriminate by class or demographic. Which probably goes some way towards explaining why they’re such a hot ticket all around the globe right now.” – GIGWISE
“The Sniffers mostly blow through any misplaced nostalgia with a Ramones-like commitment to playing punk rock that is loud, fast and razor sharp.” – LOUD & QUIET
“Amyl and The Sniffers have left a trail of destruction in their wake over the past year, and amid all the chaos, somehow the Aussies managed to fit in the recording of their debut album. If fast-and-hard punk is the order of the day then Amyl and The Sniffers are full of it…A great advert for Australia’s most incendiary live band.” – DIY MAGAZINE
“Its 11 breathless tracks bottle the barely-controlled explosion of energy that masquerades as their live show, then sprays it all out again like cheap lager.” – Q MAGAZINE. *4/5 ALBUM REVIEW
“In a world of overly focus-grouped, chin-fondling rock bands, Amyl and The Sniffers are like a breath of filthy fresh air… [Amy Taylor] sings like a 21st-century Poly Styrene with a New South Wales twang, her lyrics full of brawn, feminist bite and sharp humour…Their sound sucks meat from punk and glam’s bones, and throws in basslines from 70s pub-rock.” – THE OBSERVER

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
