Anne-Marie and Aitch release their revengeful track “Psycho”, out now on Asylum/Atlantic.
“Psycho” finds Anne-Marie and Aitch in their element as they unleash an all-empowering revenge pop anthem into the world. The result of Anne-Marie’s recent writing camp with Gracey, Henry Tucker (Clean Bandit), Tom Mann, Aitch and BillenTed (who also provide production (KSI, Raye), the song is about taking back control after breaking free of a cheating ex.
Directed by Samuel Douek (Little Mix), the official video is a tale of sisterhood as it follows main protagonist, Anne-Marie, as she helps a swarm of women seek revenge on the same deceitful man (played by Aitch), sabotaging their respective dates one by one.
Anne-Marie says “This song was inspired by personal experience. I was once in a situation where the guy I was seeing was gaslighting me when I suspected he was cheating on me, which he was (total mug)! It wasn’t ok and I called him out. This one’s for everyone out there who’s been in the same situation.”
A new era for Anne-Marie, the Essex-born star has been busy in the studio recording new material over recent months. Most recently, she collaborated with K-Pop band Seventeen on the track “WORLD” and singer/actor Diljit Dosanjh on “Peaches”.
Aitch recently released his UK Top 3 debut album, Close to Home.
