St Kilda is set to once again play host to Australia’s iconic St Kilda Festival in 2019, returning for its 39th year on Sunday 10 February. The free summer festival offers an exciting program of live music, dance, carnival rides, sports, market and food stalls, children’s activities, extended business trading and entertainment for all ages.
The City of Port Phillip is proud to produce this nationally recognised event, which routinely attracts more than 400,000 patrons. City of Port Phillip Mayor Bernadene Voss welcomes the annual celebration, which continues to benefit both the local and wider Victorian community.
“The City of Port Phillip cherishes the St Kilda Festival, and 2019 promises to be as popular as ever. This premier event promotes and supports Australian live music, is jam-packed with activities for all ages to enjoy and encourages visitors to our region, which supports our local economy,” Cr Voss said.
A highlight of the annual event is the New Music Stage, which will showcase ten of Australia’s best emerging acts in 2019. The audience favourite will take home a $5000 cash prize and an invitation to play the St Kilda Festival Main Stage at the 40th anniversary in 2020.
The Festival is a great family day out with a dedicated area in Catani Gardens featuring a Kids Stage, roving entertainment and activities and workshops to keep young minds engaged and entertained.
Whether you are drawn to the Festival for the live music, fantastic location or the variety of food and beverages on offer, there is something for everyone at Australia’s largest free music festival.
The full program will be announced in January. To keep up to date with St Kilda Festival news, check out the links below and join the conversation #stkildafest

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
