Another Night Worth Remembering
CYNTHIA CATANIA
‘Cynthia and Rich’
Live at Old Towne Pub,
Pasadena, April 9th
.
.
This bar feels like old New York. The kind of place where the walls hum with stories, the ghosts of great nights linger. The Old Towne Pub—hidden between buildings near Fair Oaks and Union, tucked away – like a secret.
The first time I walked in, it was like stepping onto a Mad Max set—relic guitars, rusted bicycles, car engine parts bolted to the walls like artifacts from some lost rock & roll civilization. The stage high, the air electric. A trans boy behind the soundboard— the best mix I’ve had in a long time. A gorgeous Latina pouring drinks. That night, Rich and I played one of our best shows ever. Maybe the best.
And now, we’re back. Next Wednesday. 8 PM sharp. First show of the year—a year unraveling in mind-bending ways.
Please come. Bring your spirit, your energy. Let me try to take you away – let’s make another night worth remembering.

Here’s a glimpse of our forthcoming song, “A Thousand Stories.” The music video—now in pre-production—is being crafted by the visionary filmmaker Sue Ann Pien.

I’ve been deep in the studio, shaping a new EP with my collaborator, Rich Devletian (pictured above). Layers of sound, fragments of stories—woven together into something I can’t wait to share.
Stay tuned. And on the 9th, I’ll sing it for you live.

LA’s Original Indie GirL
Cynthia grew up in the New York City music scene. Romanced by California and all things West Coast, she moved to Los Angeles on the heels of the Northridge earthquake.
Inspired by DIY artists like Ani DiFranco, she immersed herself in the indie music world forming Saucy Monky with Dublin-born Annmarie Cullen. Her self-made indie label olivoiL records hosted events that brought the LA music community together. From 1999 to the late 2000s, Indie Nights and Songwriters on Tap music series’ launched the careers of artists like Gaby Mareno, Amy Kuney; hosted soon to be stars like Sara Bareilles, plus veterans Colin Hay, Garrison Starr, and Jimmy Gnecco (of OURS).

.
Saucy Monky went on to perform for festival audiences across Europe, opening for Wilco, The B52’s, Pink, The Cure, Black Eyed Peas, PJ Harvey, Metric, Marianne Faithful, Gipsy Kings and more.
Cynthia is currently scoring films, producing tracks, and writing for new projects and solo releases. Her work on the short film, “Once More, Like Rainman” has been acknowledged by the film festival circuit, winning many awards, including Best Comedy Short at the Oscar/BAFTA qualifying LA Shorts International Film Festival and Best Composer (Cynthia Catania) Bridge Fest Film Festival, Vancouver.
Latest collaborators include collaborator Rich Devletian (OURS, Jason Ryterband), co-writers Beth Thornley, Jason Thomas Gordon (The Singer’s Talk), Annmarie Cullen (Saucy Monky), and Michael James (New Radicals, Hole).
Int’l singing group bandmates, Sylvie Lewis and Naimee Coleman (Aurora, The Bee Gees).
Currently recording in Los Angeles, Cynthia will be bringing her hypnotic vocals, and Baroque Pop/Vintage Americana sound to audiences across the US/Europe later this year.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
