Another Sky are excited to today release their new single ‘Uh Oh!’, the fourth track released by the South London quartet so far this year. After a three-year absence from the spotlight following the release of their debut album ‘I Slept On The Floor’, these tracks herald an exhilarating creative step forward for Another Sky.
Another Sky’s long-awaited comeback single “Psychopath” was a far more punchy and direct rock song than anything the band had previously released, and was followed up with ‘A Feeling’ which received strong support across BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music. Continuing the ferocious sentiments and instrumentation of the previous two singles, they swiftly followed with ‘Burn The Way’.
‘Uh Oh’ finds the band wrestling with their newly found creative zest, holding frustration and hindsight with both hands, and having a lot of fun with it too. Snappily thundering guitars and bass, fast becoming the quartet’s signature, accompany lyrics that hark back, negatively, to innocence and novelty. Yet, the track has a wildly uplifting feeling, and is sure to become a firm fan favourite at upcoming live shows.
Vocalist Catrin Vincent says of the track – “Uh Oh soundtracks a literal fall into the Thames. The song is the flip side to “Fell In Love With The City” from the our debut record. That song was first we ever wrote, about the naive excitement of moving to the big smoke. This song is an answer to that. Now, we’re a bit chewed up and not so excited.
Naomi’s bass riff was inspired by Jimmy Eat World and The Toy Dolls. Vocally, I was thinking The Pretenders, or Oasis. And Wet Leg had just absolutely popped off, so I was inspired to let go and have some fun.”
In their three-year absence, the band (Vincent, Jack Gilbert, Naomi Le Dune & Max Doohan) have not only been writing and producing new music but have built a brand-new studio from scratch in the crypt of a Church.
The news of their return came with an announcement of their signing to Republic Records in the US. “Who knew a song in 5/4 timing [‘Psychopath’] would get you signed to a US major label?” quips Vincent. The band continues to work with Fiction Records in the rest of the world.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
