“You’ll know Anthony Forrest via his role as frontman and songwriter for the much-loved Brisbane reggae/dub outfit Kingfisha. Anthony is doing his solo artist thing this time around and spinning a different kinda groove. Something that’s more on the old Soul electro tip, and it doesn’t disappoint.” – 4ZZZ
“Easily one of the most unmistakable voices in the Australian roots scene, Anthony Forrest’s smooth as silk vocal and knack for creating ridiculously catchy dub-fused melodies returns to the fold with ‘Get There’. The bounce, bubble and flow that Kingfisha fans have been missing since their departure is back in full force with Anthony’s latest efforts.” – POINT MUSIC NEWS
“Renowned as the frontman and guitarist of Brisbane’s breakthrough reggae/dub group Kingfisha, Deepest Love is Forrest’s first solo release. Flirting the line across genres, with hip-hop undertones, rolling electronica melodies, and Forrest’s silky-smooth vocals, the electro soul track with nods to 90’s producer J Dilla, and a down tempo Fat Freddy’s Drop is a new and exciting direction for the renowned vocalist.” – HI FI WAY
“The bass-heavy track begins with Anthony’s smooth vocals over a simple yet groovy r&b-type beat. The blend of synths with the soothing, soulful nature of the track is quite interesting. It almost feels like it shouldn’t work, but it definitely does! The electronics add an additional color that makes “Deepest Love” more vibrant and alluring.” – SINUSOIDALMUSIC
