Today, Melbourne band Approachable Members Of Your Local Community share their newest single ‘Not My Vibe’. The fun track is set to an upbeat indie-pop groove with an uber catchy chorus led by dual-vocalists Sage Mellet and Josh Blashki. Off the back of finishing their East-Coast ‘Just Say It’ tour and supporting Telenova Nationally, the band are excited to announce they’ll be heading to Bondi, NSW to play a free one off special show at Beach Road Hotel on August 5 as well as supporting Hinds band from Spain on July 24 at Howler in Melbourne.
Of the single the band share: “Good relationships are transformative. They teleport us to far away lands. To intergalactic worlds. Humans together, relating to each other, bonding is inspirational. Moving. We can energise each other all the way into the wide expanses of the cosmos. ‘Not My Vibe’ is about pushing for clarity and commitment, because flings were so 2010.”

‘Not My Vibe’ was written by Alex Lahey, Lauren Coutts (Blusher, Audition tape) and Josh Blashki, Sage Mellet, Sam Korman and Micky Fisher from Approachable Members. It was also produced by Sam Korman and mixed by Matt Huber (Valley, Joan) and mastered by Joe LaPorta at Sterling Sound in NYC.
Approachable Members of Your Local Community reinvented themselves last year by adding a new Member to the group Sage Mellet. She joined Josh Blashki as dual lead vocalists, Sam Korman on drums, his brother Max on keys and Micky Fisher on bass. The relaunched indie-pop band first released ‘Strong Enough’, which got added to triple j and received glowing reviews from media around the country, followed by the equally impressive ‘Just Say It’. The much-adored band have continued to cement themselves into the story of suburban Australia – as bouncy indie pop writers and collaborative community leaders.
From touring the southern seas with Telenova, Lime Cordiale, Polish Club and Half Alive (USA), as well as selling out national headline tours, the Members’ live show delivers a public benefit the Community knows and loves. Reconnecting with rooms full of people, singing together and releasing infectious pop music – Approachable Members are ready to continue driving the 2022 train forward.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
