Today, Melbourne indie-pop band Approachable Members Of Your Local Community are proud to share their latest single and video ‘Just Say It’. This motivational and fun earworm is a first for the Members as new bandmate Sage Mellet takes the lead on vocals. Sage’s ethereal voice, blended with the band’s groovy instrumentalisation leaves the listener feeling empowered and having an absolute blast chanting the words – ‘say it, say it, say it, say it, Just Say It’. The fivesome can happily share the announcement of East Coast February 2022 tour dates. Their rescheduled shows in Melbourne and Brisbane are locked, but three new shows in Geelong, Sydney and Wollongong have been added.
Of the track the band shared: “In this interconnected world, with computers and the NBN, one thing is clear to the Members: now is the time for the nimble communicator; the reformist collaborator. Don’t bottle things up. Just say how you feel. We can change, and quickly – what we do, who we see, what we care about. But how do you keep your friends along for the journey? When people start to feel insecure in a relationship and turn things over in their head, things can get out of hand. ‘Just Say It’ is about that tension – and breaking through it, the only way the Community knows how: honest and open communication.”
The band have put together a DIY but by no means amateur music video shot entirely by themselves. They share: “As you can see, we made a video. We agree, it’s incredible. You can Just Say It, it’s fine. We put it together the second restrictions lifted. Sage found an old camera lying around her place and Sam got to work on his moves – the twirl, the pivot-zoom, and his signature ‘sprint at you with the camera.’ It’s our first clip that’s completely home-spun, and we think it might just light a fire that burns for one thousand years – a fire of groove.”
This new offering follows their latest single ‘Strong Enough’ an anthemic post-love story which was also the single that introduced their new member, Sage. ‘Just Say It’ was produced by Sam Korman from Approachable Members with additional production by Gab Strum (Japanese Wallpaper, Allday). It was mixed by Andrei Eremin (Tones and I, Tash Sultana) and mastered by Joe LaPorta at Sterling Sound in NYC.
From touring the southern seas with Lime Cordiale, Polish Club and Half Alive (USA), as well as sold out national headline tours under their belt, the Members’ live show delivers a public benefit the Community knows and loves. This coming February 2022 the band will finally be able to play their highly anticipated rescheduled tour dates in Melbourne and Brisbane, along with the special announcement of three more tour dates added along the East Coast. Tickets will be on sale from 12pm, Friday 12 November. For tour information please visit: approachablemembers.com/tour.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
