Fueled by rock and rage, Melbourne’s femme-punk outfit Arabella and The Heist pack a punch with their fierce and seductive energy. Clenching their fists and gritting their teeth, they’ve released their snarling new single ‘1769’ (Friday, March 8).
For those unfamiliar with the musings of Arabella and The Heist, the band debuted in 2021, then released a handful of singles, followed by their debut EP ‘The Back Woods’ last year.

They’ve since been stirring a frenzy in Melbourne band rooms, playing events like Cherryfest and sold-out shows with their punk and rock contemporaries Vermantics, Battlesnake, The Ugly Kings and The Valiants. Most recently, they’ve supported German punks S.U.G.A.R and played Mordi Fest with The Vanns, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers, Pierce Brothers and more.
Now, with their unrelenting punk fury, they’ve dropped ‘1769’. Raw and uncompromising, ‘1769’ is a rager that is wall-to-wall thrashing hard-rock made up of fuzzed out guitars, dirty driving bass and a belting vocal performance from Arabella. With few moments to take a breath, this is a sweat-inducing, mosh pit starting track is for those brave and late night punters.

Produced by Michael Badger (Amyl and The Sniffers, Goldminds, King Gizz) the track embodies a feverish energy, described by Arabella as “a 2AM heartbeat”. The track gets its name from a brand of red wine and depicts a chaotically indulgent night out in the punk underworld. Arabella states: “We wanted to write a track that felt like a night out in Melbourne, and we wanted to build that energy and tension.”
Arabella and The Heist will be bringing that feeling to Sydney next when they play at the Duke Of Enmore on March 28.
With red-stained lips, indulge in another pour of crimson wine and lash out to ‘1769’ this Friday, March 8.

AMNPLIFY – DB
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
