Sony Music Entertainment Australia is proud and humbled to announce the release of the album, ‘Artists Unite for Fire Fight: Concert for National Bushfire Relief’.
The special charity album of 23 tracks features unique live recordings from every artist who performed at the historic Fire Fight concert last month. It is available as a two disc CD album from music retailers and a digital download on iTunes from today (13 March).
In addition to the standalone album, Cotton On has generously produced and donated a limited-edition t-shirt, which is available to purchase as a bundle with the two disc album. The bundle is exclusively available for purchase HERE.
Sony Music Entertainment Australia will donate all its proceeds from the sale of this album to Sony Foundation Australia and funds raised will go towards directly supporting young Australians in bushfire affected communities.
The Fire Fight concert was held on Sunday, February 16, 2020, and a passionate sold-out audience of 75,000 fans came together at ANZ Stadium in Sydney to enjoy close to ten hours of stunning performances from international and Australian music superstars. The music event, promoted by TEG Dainty and TEG Live, has since raised over $9.5 million dollars for bushfire rescue, relief, recovery, rehabilitation and rebuilding causes and organisations.
The concert saw 5 Seconds Of Summer, Alice Cooper, Amy Shark, Baker Boy, Conrad Sewell, Daryl Braithwaite, Delta Goodrem, Grinspoon, Guy Sebastian, Hilltop Hoods, Icehouse, llly, Jessica Mauboy, John Farnham, k.d lang, Lee Kernaghan, Michael Bublé, Olivia Newton-John, Peking Duk, Pete Murray, Queen + Adam Lambert, Ronan Keating, Tina Arena and William Barton donate their time and talents, and they have now donated their recordings to the live concert album.
On the release of the Fire Fight album, Denis Handlin AO, Chairman and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Australia and New Zealand, and Founding Board Director of Sony Foundation Australia, commented:
