Hailed as one of the year’s most exciting new talents, today, ASHWARYA drops her new single COMIN@ME via NOiZE Recordings.   Enmeshing balladry with bhangra-influenced drumming and cheeky, headstrong rap, the track practically tramples over any expectations of a young popstar in 2020.

Speaking of the new single, ASHWARYA explains, “COMIN@ME takes you through the toxic cycle of constantly coming back to someone who betrayed you and continues to hurt you. The song calls for confrontation, which eventually leads to the downfall of the relationship. The end of the song is me at my most vulnerable, showing that regardless of the pain this person has inflicted, it will always be challenging to let them go for good.”

The futuristic visualiser for COMIN@ME is a collaboration between French VFX artist Frederico Pelat and character designer Lana ChoukrouneConstructed by real-world scanned data from Tokyo and Paris, the clip forms a porthole to an entirely new landscape awaiting discovery.

The new single follows on from the 21-year-old’s meteoric debut single PSYCHO HOLE and head-spinning delight BIRYANIA testament to her unique identity and sound, ASHWARYA has received praise across the globe from Complex, Clash, The Face and Paper Magazine.

A natural polymath, ASHWARYA is  the kind of fleet-footed code-switcher they don’t really make anymore.  Darkly romantic, emotive but elusive, there is a bracing freshness to the songwriter’s work, the niggling feeling of boundaries being melted, shifted, in a way that hasn’t been seen in a long time.
