Astral People’s iconic Summer Dance series is back for a fourth instalment on Saturday, January 6, and it’s nothing short of sensational. Brightening up the day will be an all star lineup of dance music’s best, featuring Belfast titans Bicep, lofi dance powerhouse Ross From Friends and Eora’s own Willo. Powering the night at Liberty Hall are world-class acts Yung Singh, Lady Shaka & Munasib, promising to set the atmosphere ablaze and keep the energy soaring. In case you missed it, Summer Dance has returned with a brand new format taking you from day to dusk, transforming Liberty Hall’s Courts into a sun-soaked dance oasis before moving the party inside after dark for an energetic whirlwind courtesy of the best music selectors in the game.
A formidable presence in dance music, Ireland producers Bicep wield their undeniable influence with their thumping UK garage/tech beats and emotionally charged melodies. Experience Bicep’s takeover of Liberty Hall courts during the day with a legendary DJ set, featuring favourites like “Glue” & “Apricots”. Our favourite character, Ross From Friends, will be unfolding delicate synthscapes over hypnotising club numbers in the sun while Eora’s dance prodigy, Willo, will round out the lineup with her exciting discography, effortlessly blending lo-fi tech breaks with enchanting melodies.

As the sun sets, the atmosphere intensifies with a fabled lineup of unparalleled clubbing spectacles. Yung Singh takes the stage, unleashing an electrifying set of club bangers that solidifies his status as one of the most thrilling DJs on the European circuit, following a sensational 2022. Lady Shaka brings a breath of fresh air with her fusion of London and Pacific influences, crafting a resounding set that masterfully interweaves various pulsating genres to erupt the party. Completing the lineup is Eora’s exciting eclectic selector, Munasib. Decorated as “your favourite artist’s favourite DJ”, Munasib will take punters late into the night with an international music flair.
With a legacy of celebrating openness and ambition, the Summer Dance series has become a cornerstone in Sydney’s club scene since its 2015 debut. Eight years in and many sold-out seasons later, the summer staple grows bigger, better, and more iconic with each year. Summer Dance 2023/2024 showcases the most exciting talent over Sydney’s hottest months.
Curiously creative and matched with eclectic taste, Astral People are known for touring groundbreaking talent from clubbing institutions to the finest festivals around the country. Previous Summer Dance seasons were no stranger to this, featuring CC:Disco (AUS), Honey Dijon (US), Moodymann (US), Kornel Kovacs (SWE), Palms Trax (UK), Floating Points (UK), Hunee (KOR), Gilles Peterson (UK), and more! Astral People have toured international heavyweights in the past including Fred again.. (UK), Bicep (IRE), 100 gecs (US), Yung Lean (SWE), Yunè Pinku (UK), Arlo Parks (UK), Stormzy (UK) and countless more. With over a decade of party planning and touring experience under their belt, this season’s lineup promises to be nothing short of spectacular.
Don’t miss out on dance music’s best as they dominate Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter this January.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
