The debut album from Australian comedy trio Aunty Donna, The Album, has this week debuted in the top 30 of the ARIA Albums Chart, also reaching #7 on the Australian Artist Albums Chart. Aunty Donna – The Album features such classics as   ‘Chuffed (Dad Song)’, ‘Professor Whiskers’, ‘Fuccboi Anthem’, ‘Best Day Of My Life’, ‘War Isn’t Cool’, ‘Chop Chop’ and their latest single ‘Best Freestylers In The World’ featuring Montaigne and Boilermakers (Matt Okine). Aunty Donna – The Album features 16 original songs, written and performed by Aunty Donna, plus some very special guests including Hamish Blake, Demi Lardner, Michelle Brasier, Joey Walker from King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard and is available to stream and download now.

Having just returned North America, Aunty Donna are currently in the midst of a month long run at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival with their new stage show, Glennridge Secondary College. Aunty Donna will then hit Sydney for two shows at the Enmore Theatre as well as Perth, Brisbane, Wellington and Auckland before heading back to North America for an East Coast Tour in June.

The past two years have been massive for the Aunty Donna boys. A creative collective, the Donnas actually number six: actor/writers Mark Samual Bonanno, Broden Kelly and Zachary Ruane, writer/director Sam Lingham, film director/editor Max Miller, and sound designer/composer Tom Armstrong. Together they’ve mastered their unique brand of surreal, fast paced, alternative sketch.

Aunty Donna’s online presence continues to explode. Their YouTube channel has garnered over 170+ thousand subscribers and 27+ million views to date, including 1 million views of their recently released videos from their debut album. In 2016 they created an award-winning original web series exclusively for YouTube called 1999 (Screen Australia/Google’s Skip Ahead), Trendy was commissioned by Comedy Central, and a TV Series pilot for ABC iView and Screen Australia as part of the Fresh Blood Comedy initiative. Most recently they appeared on new 10-episode TV sketch show The Slot (The Comedy Channel, Foxtel) which premiered in December.
