Rising Australian indie-rock artist Tiali has announced her debut EP The Pleasure Pit is out July 28 and has shared another taste of what’s to come with the piercing new single ‘What Kind Of Man’.
Staying true to herself as always, ‘What Kind Of Man’ is Tiali’s expression of societal affairs that just don’t sit right with her.
“This song is about the multitude of issues that women face everyday in society”, Tiali says. “Victim blaming, slut shaming, rape culture, impossible and contradictory beauty standards, DV, unwanted attention and sexualisation, assault, misogyny, even internalised misogyny from us women. I hate to admit it, but for so long I didn’t realise I had been conditioned to certain ways of thinking. I accepted these behaviours and lack of respect for women as normal. Since learning more about feminism, I barely recognise that person. It seems so obvious to me now that we should all be constantly learning, evolving and working towards a safer and more equal collective, not just for women, but for POC, LGBTQIA+ and people with disabilities.”
The Pleasure Pit is filled with tracks that Tiali has carefully crafted to represent all the layers of her artistry; soulful, dreamy, addictive, grungy and psychedelic. It will feature previously released singles ‘Jigsaw’, ’Icicles’, ‘Medium’ and the latest offering ‘What Kind Of Man’ plus two unheard tracks which will round out this enticing artists’ debut EP.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
