Today, L.A.-based Australian wunderkind Evie Irie sets ablaze a new era of pop-punk brilliance with the release of her latest single, ‘I Want It (Danny DeVito)’. With its anthemic hooks and 90s-inspired power-punk prowess, the tongue-in-cheek track serves as a sonic homage to the weird and wonderful world of this unstoppable artist.
Fueling the pulse of the song is Evie’s overwhelming love and obsession for none other than Hollywood legend Danny DeVito, with the single marking the beginning of Evie’s thrilling quest to track down the renowned actor and persuade him to appear in the accompanying music video for the song. Following the track’s release, fans will be treated to a full-length feature mockumentary documenting Evie’s ambitious journey to fulfil her wildest Danny DeVito dreams.
Evie candidly shares her inspiration behind the single, saying, “In this track, I sing about some of my favourite things—chicken strips, French fries, and Danny DeVito??? ‘I Want It (Danny DeVito)’ explores the fun and irreverent side of pop songwriting, which I love.”

Relocating to Nashville at the tender age of 15, Evie spent many of her formative years playing live shows and collaborating with professional songwriters and producers—a pivotal time that saw her soak up experiences and hone her skills, infusing her musical sensibility with a sense of maturity way beyond her years. A testament to her dedication and talent, Evie signed a major record deal with Republic Records at just 16, alongside a management deal with Troy Carter, who has worked with celebrated music icons such as Lady Gaga, John Legend, and Meghan Trainor.
Her debut single, ‘Bitter’, and EP, 5 Weeks in LA, served as a remarkable sonic introduction, earning critical acclaim and leaving a lasting impact on listeners. More recently, singles ‘BLEED’ and ‘The Idea Of You’ have made an indelible impact, receiving full rotation on national radio. Adding to her achievements, Evie’s songs have been featured in popular television shows and movies, including The Rookie, The Hills, The Bold Type, Resort to Love and Love Life starring Anna Kendrick, amplifying her reach and showcasing her ability to connect with diverse audiences.
On the live front, Evie has shared the stage with a number of prominent artists, supporting acts including Amy Shark (AUS), Bastille (AUS) and Sigrid (UK). Her collaborations with acclaimed producers and songwriters who have worked with the likes of Sia, Adele, Miley Cyrus, One Republic, and Rhianna pushed her creative boundaries, adding another dimension to her songwriting and contributing to her increasing widespread recognition.
With a renewed spirit and an unwavering dedication to her craft, after a short break, Evie Irie is excited to return to music as an independent artist with unbridled passion and a strong sense of sound and self. A symbol of authenticity unafraid to challenge the status quo, Evie Irie’s unmistakable zest for outspoken songwriting is undoubtedly set to resonate with a generation hungry for unapologetic expression.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
