Rising Australian singer-songwriter Georgia Mae today shares a brand new video for her latest single ‘Bad People’ via Lemon Tree Records/Sony Music Entertainment Australia.
‘Bad People’ is a sweeping and haunting ballad that highlights Georgia’s vocal warmth as much it does her lyrical vulnerability. Speaking on the track, Georgia shares “For a long time I went without ever (knowingly) meeting a truly bad person. Maybe a lot of us are lucky enough to say the same. I’d read about them, watched movies about them and heard stories from family and friends, but had never fully grasped the concept of a “bad person” until I found myself entwined in a relationship with one.”
Georgia continues “This song is both a musical and lyrical waterfall of emotion for me; a therapeutic vessel to describe what it was like to be in love with a sociopath, narcissist, and pathological liar.”
Georgia has today released the accompanying official music video – you can watch it here. The video, shot on location at Devil’s Kitchen on the Sunshine Coast was directed by Jesse Purcell, and features Georgia alongside Samuel Tyson Hellwege.
Speaking on the video, Georgia comments “This song is super dark so it felt right to do it in black and white, and the isolated landscape of jagged rocks, crashing waves and rough winds helped bring to life the ominous environment of the song. And I wanted the simplicity of a one-shot juxtaposed with the complexity of the relationship between me and the ‘bad person.”
‘Bad People’ is the follow up track to her stunning bedroom-acoustic ballad ‘Soul Like This’– which was written and co-produced by the songbird herself, enabling Georgia’s unique musical flair to shine through.
Pinpointed in The Music Network’s Ones to Watch List for 2020, Georgia Mae is destined for greatness with her “pure pop sensibility and pristine vocals” set to take her far. Heremotional pop sound which stems from warm experiences, fond memories and overcoming adveristy, is laced with a curiosity for adventure and obsession with surrealism. Georgia takes pride in storytelling, by creating a space for human connection, joy, reverie and escapism.
Georgia’s previously released titles, ‘Time With You’, ‘Girl Next Door’ and ‘Fools’ have amassed over 1.5 million worldwide streams and garnered fans both locally in Australia and overseas.
‘Bad People’ is available now.

My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
