MELBOURNE, AU (July 11, 2018) – Australia’s dreamy newcomer STARLEY, who later this month will be hitting the road with megastar Katy Perry in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne, has today announced a special one-off Sydney show at The Lansdowne on Wednesday August 8.

Tickets for all shows go on sale at 10am, Wednesday July 11. For complete tour and ticket information, visit: livenation.com.au.

Sydney’s very own, Starley, has been making waves across the world since the release of her debut single ‘Call On Me’ in 2016. Grabbing worldwide attention following a remix by Ryan Riback, the track hit over 1 billion streams worldwide and landed a place in the top ten in over 30 countries. The track went four-times platinum in Australia, double platinum in North America and six-times platinum in Sweden, among a number of other accreditations – making it one of the most streamed records of 2017 – and won her a BMI for Best Pop Release and two ARIA nominations for Best Dance Release and Apple Music’s ‘Song Of The Year’.

Written at a time when Starley nearly gave up on making music altogether, ‘Call On Me’ almost didn’t happen. Having landed a publishing deal and spent years in London writing and collaborating with a wide range of producers and writers, placing cuts with major artists eluded her. Returning home to Sydney, heartbroken and out of money, Starley sat down and wrote ‘Call On Me’ on keys in her bedroom – not only launching her career but going on to touch the lives of millions.

Starley’s captivating music is written with a combination of integrity and deeply personal lyrics – her follow up single ‘Love Is Love’ was written about her experience exploring her own sexuality and the changing nature of her relationship to family.

Having appeared around the world on shows like Jimmy Kimmel, The Today Show, Good Morning America and Top Of The Pops NYE, Starley has toured America with Clean Bandit, played the coveted 3am spot during this year’s 40th Anniversary Mardi Gras (following Cher), and later this month will join pop superstar, Katy Perry in Perth, Adelaide and Melbourne playing some of the biggest venues throughout Australia.

This intimate, one-off performance at Sydney’s beloved Lansdowne Hotel is not to be missed – with a new album teased for release this September, Starley is one act all Australians should have their eye on.
