Double J – “Automatic address the politics of waste on their brilliantly dubby and danceable 2nd album ‘Excess’”
Stereogum – “There’s some ’60s pop kitsch in the sound, some post-punk and new wave, some Stereolab-worthy sophisticated propulsion”
FLOOD – “The LA-based trio reshapes the aloof robotics of Kraftwerk and the auditory illusions of Melody’s Echo Chamber into their own unique voice.”
Music Feeds – “The band satirise the contradictions of late capitalism, privilege, hedonism, intergenerational discord and climate change denial on what might be the sci-fi post-punk equivalent to The White Lotus.”
Triple R – ‘Album of the Week’ // 2SER – ‘Album of the Week’

Following a sold-out tour at the beginning of 2023, today LA outfit Automatic share their full run of return Australian shows, performing headline shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Fremantle, as well as previously announced dates at Splendour in the Grass, and support for Yeah Yeah Yeahs’ official Sideshows. Full info and dates below.
Automatic also share a new remix of their single ‘Skyscraper’ from GUM & Ginoli – aka Jay Watson (Pond, Tame Impala) and James Ireland (Pond) – adding a dynamic house influence to the moody yet razor sharp instrumental of the original.

The trio of Izzy Glaudini (synths, vocals), Halle Saxon (bass, vocals) and Lola Dompé released their second LP Excess (via prolific label Stones Throw) to critical acclaim in June 2023. A triumph of motorik and icy atmospheres and punchy, danceable synth-punk, the arrival of Excess marked a new dawn for Automatic, with extensive support across the likes of KCRW, Double J, The Line of Best Fit, MOJO and CLASH.
Automatic have toured extensively across the world, including festival slots at Primavera Sound, Wide Awake and Desert Daze, supports for Tame Impala, Parquet Courts, The Voidz and Crumb, and global headline dates. Their music has also been licensed widely to fashion brands including Céline, Givenchy, MiuMiu, Hermès (Men’s Winter 2022) and Versace’s new fashion film.

AMNPLIFY – ML
My nickname is “The Amnplifier”. Why? Because around here my focus is on being a conduit for providing greater outcomes that people come here for. My day to day “work” is living in the moment, and I love helping others concentrate on finding their connection to themselves through their experiences.
Why start a music environment? The truth is I love music, I love writing, and I love life. I work with musicians every day, and I feel certain that I will be until they put me in the ground. I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
Amnplify your experience. That is what we want you to do here, and if you want to let me know why you do, or don’t, shoot me a message on Facebook.
Hope you enjoy yourself here and find something that hits you somewhere.
