ARIA nominated faux French sensations Baby et Lulu have today announced the June 12 release of their much anticipated third album ‘Album Trois’ and the national ‘Album Trois Tour’ which will take place from June to August.
With Adelaide and Hobart dates to be announced soon, the national tour will see Abby Dobson (Leonardo’s Bride) and Lara Goodridge (FourPlay String Quartet) with their prodigiously talented band, tour the country performing songs in French in a celebration of love, life and passion…with banter that is by turns sultry and hilarious.
The tour celebrates the release of ‘Album Trois’, Baby et Lulu’s latest selection of classic and contemporary chansons including songs by Piaf, Gainsbourg, Chevalier, Aznavour, Stromae, Trenet and more, as well as their own compositions written in French.
This irresistible musical partnership began over ten years ago, standing on top of two milk crates at a party singing in French.
It has led to three album releases – including a 2015 ARIA Nomination for Best World Music Album (for ‘Album Deux’) and years of seducing audiences with femme fatale glamour and très witty banter, performing at Womadelaide, Adelaide Cabaret Festival, Adelaide Fringe Festival, Brisbane Cabaret Festival, The Famous Speigeltent, Port Fairy, Woodford Folk Festival as well as venues such as Brisbane Powerhouse, Adelaide Festival Centre, and Melbourne Arts Centre.
