You asked, they listened: Young Henrys and Brissy’s Dune Rats are bring back their iconic Dunies Lager, in celebration of their upcoming album Real Rare Whale and national tour kicking off this July.
Known for its slightly hazy year-round smasher, the Young Henrys Dunies lager is infused with heavy hop and nose flavour. Matching the electrifying energy of the band, the lager is mixed with a feisty pop of Mosaic, Citra, El Dorado and Azacca hops to bring out a rich flavour, yet still mellow enough for some easy going, no-frills drinking. Perfectly paired with rockin’ tunes, both can and case also feature artwork from longtime Dune Rats collaborator and artist Lee McConnell.

The tinnies folklore began with a bet between the Young Henrys and Dune Rats boys surrounding the success of their album, The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit. Unsurprisingly, the LP ended up surpassing all expectations, with the tunes and brew eventually becoming coveted fan-favourites throughout the years. Making a triumphant comeback for the release of Dune Rats’ forthcoming album, Real Rare Whale, which includes a much anticipated return to live stages, Dunies Lager is a headbanger of a beer perfectly designed for throwing down in any mosh pit across the country. Fans will be able to grab tinnies online or at all upcoming Dune Rats warehouse shows taking place between Friday, July 29 – Thursday, August 4, including two sold out venues in both Sydney and Brisbane.
For fans who missed out on grabbing tickets to see the Dune Rats action-fuelled, middle-finger punk-wave, Young Henrys has you covered. Music-lovers can enter here for their chance to win a double pass to a Dunies show in a city of their choice. To sweeten the deal, the Newtown brewers will also throw in a limited edition merch pack and, of course, a case of Dunies Lager.

I have been managing people in businesses of some sort for over thirty five years so along the way I have developed some “wisdom” from my regular and constant “observations”.
